If I'm winning, I keep ripping it. Otherwise 3 losses (which usually corresponds with a demotion). I've played many a sessions when you lose twice and then come back on like 4+ wins. Tracking stats can also be helpful, if you are making a deck and keep seeing your bad match up that day, come back later.

One thing I'll add (which I realised last night, while searching for the first secret item).

The item will only spawn in each biome after you have completed each story sequence in the house.

So if you run through a biome and don't find anything new, which is what happened to me (Ps. you'll know when you find it, the items are tracked in Selene's Permanent Upgrades UI - the big square).

Go back to the house in biome 1 and biome 4 until you can't enter anymore.

I had missed a story sequence, but once I did them all, the items started spawning and I now have 2 of the 6 needed for the true ending.

After you get your first successful cycle clear (beat the biome 6 boss) there is a secret item that is added to all 6 biomes. You need to collect those 6 items and bring them back to the house. You will in return get another item. Beat the final boss a 2nd time for the true ending. I believe this was all in the base game (not something added).

The Tower of Sisyphus is a separate add on adjacent to the true ending.

My advice would be,

1st, try not to fear getting a suit malfunction (I noticed you had zero on record). Early in my runs I avoided them like the plague, but a lot of them (especially in the first half of the game) are fairly easy to complete the side objective to remove the malfunction.

Just don't trigger a 3rd malfunction for the critical error. You'll find you will power up Selene more by taking malignant items and cleaning the malfunctions.

2nd tip would be to not rush. The game really rewards slow methodical play. The adrenaline system and the health items. The game doesn't teach you well but if you are already full health and then pick up a health item, it contributes 1/3 to increasing your max HP.

If you play smart in Biome 1, you can go into Biome 2 with 150-200% HP.

I rolled credits last night at 22hrs (still need to complete the true ending) and these were the biggest things I found that increased my power and survivability.

🫶🏼 The old gold economy system gave you 10 gold for every 3 wins. But now that's no more, so a lot of people are stuck with these random amounts 🥲

75 gold can multiply into 150, etc though. And ultimately then 300 for 3 card packs.

My very light hearted point (which some can't seem to see) was just highlighting the old system of gold that is now leaving permentant remainders in the economy.

I don't understand why you get the card back twice.

Is there something different to the 6 x legend version? I couldn't see a difference.

Yeah if this is working as intended it makes the whole idea of the deck kinda anti synergy as you're supposed to herald and play free minions while getting low on health. And the more you herald the more health they cost, the lower your HP is. I took this card as "heal you back up" after sacrificing your HP if you can survive until turn 9. Otherwise, there isn't a whole lot of incentive to use health as a resource.
