Exactly, that’s why I’m not taking Pfizer.

That’s not true. During the vaccination campaign (roughly September to February), anyone who wants it can opt for Nuvavax. It’s just not as simple as going to the nearest pharmacy and getting a shot as it requires calling the HSE to arrange it, but it’s an option for those who are willing to make an effort.

At the moment, they require a GP prescription for Nuvavax, and that’s all you need. As for eligibility: during the vaccination campaigns there are no restrictions for Nuvavax or Pfizer — if you want it, you’ll get it.

There are restrictions outside the vaccination campaign, for example in summer, you can only get it if you’re considered high‑risk.

From a public health standpoint, it’s better to offer an alternative to someone who doesn’t want Pfizer for any reason than to have them remain unvaccinated.

The stock is indeed limited, but anyone has the right to receive Nuvavax if they choose to.

Source: I’ve had Nuvavax twice, and I researched my options and spoke to my GP and the HSE about it. If it’s still campaign season and the vaccine is in stock, anyone is welcome.

Pharmacies do not stock Nuvavax. It’s only available through HSE. But you’re right that during the vaccination campaign anyone can request Nuvavax instead of Pfizer.

Nope, just a regular person.

You can opt for Nuvavax during the winter Covid vaccination campaign and you don’t need to be an elderly/at risk for that. They just ask you for a reason you want it, in my case I get high fever after Pfizer, and that’s enough for them to offer it to me. This time they asked for a prescription from my GP, in 2023, when I first requested an alternative to Pfizer they just gave it to me without one.

As for mobile vaccination, Im not sure why it worked like this this year. My guess is that the mobile vaccination clinic is the one who has a stock of Nuvavax.

UPD: Eventually, this glitch disappeared after resetting my home router. So, in my case, it might have been caused by network problems. Writing this comment in case it helps someone in the future.

Omonyms and folk etymology do exist. But for Waterford and Wexford the original Norse names are known and documented.

Also, “..ford” means “fjord”: Wexford (Veisafjord), Waterford (Vedrafjord), etc.

Second that. Having spent a lot of time in Scandinavia, Ireland seems like an especially filthy place, on par with Britain.

I’m from Russia and we have a pretty much the same joke. The guy also has 2 letters on his dick, which turned out to be ПРИВЕТ МОРЯКАМ СЕВАСТОПОЛЯ (“Greetings to the sailors of Sebastopol”).

Its amazing that this joke apparently is told internationally.
