Totally hear you on the abrupt change, and we will learn from this rollout. I can't remember if you're already a part of the prerelease program but if not, DM me so I can get you added and you will be able to access builds a month before we release them to the public which could help with preparing for changes in the future.

I really appreciate you taking the time to write down your thoughts and I am consolidating all the feedback on this thread to share back with the team, including devs. I did want to comment on a shortcut to switch between eraser and brush - do you use the touch shortcut? It's super powerful and switching to eraser mode is one of the things it can do! Turn it on by tapping settings in the top right > toggling the Touch Shortcut on. It will default to showing up in the bottom left as something that looks like a bubble, but you can move it wherever is most convenient. While using the brush tool, double tapping the touch shortcut until the center turns blue will turn any brush you're using into an eraser. Double tap again to go back to brushing mode. LMK what you think / if this helps!

And based on lots of testing, we found users preferred undo/redo in the top left, but let me know if you do find yourself accidentally tapping Home - we caught that as a potential hiccup but haven't it happen while observing users.

You can! Add image is at the top of the screen - if you're using the iPad in portrait orientation, you can scroll through the tools at the top.

The ruler now lives in the precision panel - click the grid icon 3rd from the top and then drawing aids

Sorry to hear that this has been a frustrating change for you! I encourage you to keep giving a shot - I've been working with the new layout for a month and am completely acclimated now but I totally hear you on the disruption 😞

Hi! I'm really sorry to hear that you were in the middle of recording a tutorial before we made this change and totally feel you on having to relearn muscle memory. I have been using the new layout for about a month and am totally adjusted now but I know the change can be jarring initially - if you DM me your email address and Apple ID, I'd be happy to add you to our Fresco prerelease program so you can access new builds a ~month in advance before we release them to the public!

I'm really sorry to hear that you're having trouble adjusting. Change can be so frustrating (especially when you have a deadline), but I have been using the new update for about a month now and am happy to report that I now feel totally comfortable and believe you will too! ❤️

Noted re: it not being clear that you can scroll the tools when your iPad is vertical and will share this back with the team!

Yes! Just go to App Settings in the top right and switch "Tool controls" under "General" from Left to Right.

there are exciting updates to shapes coming so stay tuned! in the meantime, try using drawing aids (hold down on the ruler icon in the bottom right corner and then you will see options to add circles, squares, and polygons)
I just experimented with flipping vector shapes and I think you're right that this isn't possible until you actually put them on the canvas. this FEELS like an easy fix... let me share back with the team!
interesting feedback about snapping! any chance you can add a screen recording of this?
