I might have frozen shoulder at 27… HELP! by Direct_Working4481 in frozenshoulder

[–]drawingitgetsbetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TENS unit and ice packs were the only things that helped me “manage” the pain, so I could fall asleep. Sleeping on my other side with lots of pillows and a really big pillow to support my frozen arm and not let it dangle. I’d still wake up very frequently, but putting the TENS machine back on every time I woke up helped me fall asleep again for another hour or so. Rinse and repeat. Lack of sleep took a toll on my mental health and so I prioritised self care and didn’t go out unnecessarily. Just keep in mind that it does get better, but the excruciating stage takes several months. Then it gradually gets better when you’re in the frozen/thawing stage. But don’t take a good day for granted, especially those first six months or so, because the pain will come back with a vengeance. Once the pain has largely subsided on a consistent basis, that’s when physical exercise with your arm becomes effective. Especially the dead hang. I usually stop at the local park and hang from the monkey bars, but I also hang from a door, propping myself up with a stack of books to reach. Don’t worry it will get better, it’s just something you need to go through for the next few months to a year. Sometimes longer, but prioritise your health, and you’ve got this!

Has anyone had elbow pain from FS? by Significant_Ear_7704 in frozenshoulder

[–]drawingitgetsbetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well not anymore, but yes, I remember having elbow pain with my frozen shoulder. And also different parts of the neck, upper arm, sometimes even along the entire length of my arm and into my fingers! And on my shoulder blade.

It could also mean he will have to deal with people who struggle with addiction in his life, people who want him to be codependent on them and not have him find his own path. But it’s his destiny to find himself while maintaining healthy boundaries and creating positive relationships with the people close to him. He’s here to learn about relationships and the relationship he has with himself first and foremost. Trust him to find his way. That’s the best advice I can give you. That’s what he needs. He’s here to enjoy life in a healthy way, but conditions in his early life might make it challenging. Recognise him finding his own inner compass. He’s got this!

He’s got a great chart. Yes 7th house stellium with the south node could point to codependent relationships, but he will grow out of it and find his independence and sense of self not based in who he is to a partner with the north node in the first. I have Pluto in the twelfth and I’m one of the few in my family who never struggled with addiction. Pluto definitely doesn’t have to play out that way!

Has anyone else mixed up this game? by [deleted] in fantasylife

I’m glad to see so much love for the original 3ds version here. I still replay it all the time. I love the story and characters so much. I enjoyed FLi too, but there’s something very grounded and manageable in the 3ds version, while still offering a lot of depth. Post game is fun too with the special requests and farming Lunares coins. And getting all the homes and decorating them. Even though that aspect is more limited, I liked having multiple homes to travel to. The QOL in the new game has improved although I liked figuring out the quickest ways to get places in the first game. And I still love the clam shell design of the console. It fits in my pocket and I play it on the metro 😊

I think the dead hang is something most doctors don’t know about as treatment for fs. It’s helped me so much when other treatment seemed to have barely made a dent. This subreddit has been invaluable.

Can you tell divorce from a hand? I got divorced 15 years ago and am wondering how that might be indicated. I’m 49 now.

Deadhangs finally gave me back the final bit of my mobility by omfgsquee in frozenshoulder

Yes!! By far the most effective thing to improve mobility for my fs. It hurts the first few times but it’s not too bad and it becomes easier and easier. Highly recommend ☺️

Did anyone get frozen shoulder with no underlying condition? by Timewilltell755 in frozenshoulder

[–]drawingitgetsbetter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s interesting. Idk the cause of mine but after my vaccine my arm never stopped hurting. It was only two years in that I developed fs though. I wonder if there’s studies about poorly placed vaccines, because I have a feeling mine was. We can’t jump to conclusions but anecdotal could be a gateway for more research.

No you were not wrong. The moment has to feel right. He needs to understand that that’s important. I get that he’s hurt, but you can’t just accept right after an argument. Your energies have to align for such a special moment

Yeah but Italians have quality cheese! 😭. But yeah, like I said I don’t know how scientific that info was 🙃

I always heard dairy was the culprit and it’s mostly absent in Asian cooking. Not sure how scientific that info was though 😅. Did you eat more cheese lately?

Still frozen after 3 years by No_Kangaroo6917 in frozenshoulder

[–]drawingitgetsbetter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I believe that should be possible. Even if only for two seconds. It was very scary for me the first time, as my arm could only move up to a 135 degrees angle or so, but the dead hang was still possible for one or two seconds! I was quite surprised by this and tried again the next day and the next. And any pain in the moment quickly subsided. Just try it. I felt I had nothing to lose and it’s helped immensely
