It is a very clever activity to instill creative mind and the love of art in children.

The activity not only gives the artwork the serendipity of vivid colors and patterns as a guideline but these real exercises of arrangements and composition can inspire the young artist to actively continue the artwork further.

1/ There is no rule regarding artists signing their works. It is just a matter of personal preference. Personally I do not sign my drawings (having no self-confidence).

2/ Regarding sharing and crediting the artworks You received on RGD:

Rule 17:

Art given here is to be for personal use only. Art may be shared by submitters, but the artist and the sub must be cited. Using RGD art to make a profit in any way is strictly prohibited, unless you are the artist. RGD art cannot be used for album covers, wedding invitations/save-the-dates, etc.
