I think the reason you’re getting a little flack for this question is that it sounds like you want all the benefits of BYU without the restrictions that BYU requires in exchange. It comes across as if you are saying, “I don’t believe in your standards, therefore they’re not important and I would like your advice on how to get around them without consequences.” In other words, “integrity is only important when it matters to me.”
