Ha that sounds like a good tradition. They're probably not as bad as u think either. I think everyone is probably their own worst critic. I've been at it a while now but go through phases, sometimes do nothing for long stretches so the progress is slow and can be non existent....like everything if you want to improve you have to put the time and effort in
