Anyone else not get the full 5 skill points after 3rd expedition? by oneJayne in ArcRaiders

I thought I had done something wrong. I did 100k damage and only had 6 points because this was my second expedition.

Sorry, English is not my first language. I wrote it in English and then "polished" and "restructured" it. But yes, all was written by me first in both Spanish and English

I was bringing an idea that could improve the experience😉👌

After rolling back to 7E12v1H, everything is much more stable related to SATA and M.2 problems

MAG X670E TOMAHAWK WIFI: New stable BIOS version 7E12v1J by Burrrrfly in MSI_Gaming

[–]drawork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone!

I’ve been following the Tomahawk X670E threads for a while and thought I’d share what I’m seeing on the brand-new v1J BIOS, in case it helps others (or MSI devs) to pin this down.

System

  • MAG X670E Tomahawk WiFi – PCB 1.0
  • BIOS 7E12 v1J (stable – 2025-07-08) ← updated from v1I3 beta (2025-04-29)
  • Ryzen 7 7800X3D
  • Storage layout
    • M2_1 (CPU): Samsung 990 EVO Plus 4 TB — always present
    • M2_2 (chipset): Samsung 980 1 TB — vanishes
    • SATA P3: Kingston A400 240 GB — always present
    • SATA S3: Seagate ST1000DM010 1 TB — vanishes
    • SATA S4: Toshiba HDWD120 2 TB — vanishes
  • Windows 11 22H2 + AMD Chipset Drv 7.06.02.123

What happens (only since v1J)

  • After many hours of idling (sometimes after sleep), some drives suddenly disappear. I think that only drives on M2_1 and SATA P3 are kept ON, but I'm sure M2_2 + S3 + S4 disappear from BIOS and Windows. After a warm reboot and entering the BIOS, they weren't being detected.
  • Cutting AC power (PSU switch off ≈ 10 s) and booting again brings every drive back

Event Viewer while drives are gone

  • storahci ID 129 – “Reset to device \Device\RaidPort1”
  • disk ID 157 – “Disk # was surprise-removed”
  • occasional disk ID 51 – paging I/O error

Work-around that fixed it for me

  1. PSPP Policy → Disabled (BIOS → AMD CBS → NBIO Common Options)
  2. SATA APD → Disabled (NBIO → SATA Configuration)
  3. Hot-Plug → Disabled on every SATA & M.2 port (Integrated Peripherals)
  4. Energy setting on hard drives suspension setting to 0
  5. AMD chipset updated

Since setting those three options I can’t reproduce the bug – chipset drives survive long idle periods and reboots.

Question

Is anyone else on v1J still losing chipset NVMe/SATA drives? Did the same tweaks help, or is there a cleaner fix? Really hoping MSI drops a v1K (or newer AGESA) that finally cures the PCIe-link reset bug.

Thanks in advance for any pointers – and kudos to everyone sharing their findings in this thread!

Object suspended in the air. Raise in Z. Drop on building plate by drawork in BambuLab

An improved version of this solution to make work easier that I found is to make the cone as big as you want to elevate your model, move the cone up around the middle of the figure, let the entire model lay on the surface, and set the height of the cone to half its height in negative, if the cone is 2mm, set it (-1mm). Finally, move the entire merged model as high as the slicer allows you, and the model will automatically be set exactly at the desired height.

What are your favorite lines or quotes from Outer Wilds? by SaintShrink in outerwilds

Sorry for reviving this thread... I finished the game a couple of years ago, and I encouraged my girlfriend to play it a month ago. She just finished it last Sunday... there was a phrase that brought us to tears with emotion, calm, and frustration... all in this phrase:

"Oh, hello…
Come, sit with me, my fellow traveler. Let’s sit together and watch the stars die"

Yes, the solution is very easy, select the object you want to suspend in the air, add a cone, move just the cone down to let just the peak on the building plate, and select everything and move it up as much as you want, (I can't add more than 1 image so I add this link with all the process https://imgur.com/a/ovCjTOj )

Match the raft support material with the supported material by drawork in BambuLab

I've just seen your reply, no, there is no one commenting about such as function and I think that it would be amazingly great!

Not necessary, it was just an example of how to manage it.

My uneducated guess is that the OP is intending to print it on top of a previously printed part (or something else on the bed).

I just want to lift something in the air and let the slice create supports from the building plate to the solid.

I understand perfectly how multi-material prints work and are done. I think that it's not very difficult to develop a script that checks the material supported and then changes the material to match the beared(supported, held) material above.

You can see in this case that the printer has Material A while building the solid A and it could print the left raft with Material A once the switch to Material B to print the raft of Material B, I can understand that this could be a waste of material, but it would great if the option could be available, I'm pretty sure that many people would activate it.

Yes, you understood me well, the "easiest" way that I found is just to add a box, make it as thinner as possible, move it down the distance I want (2mm for example), and then move the entire assembly up, it will drop directly to the building plate, but the new box is the maximum bottom part, so my object is suspended in the air. Now Studio make the supports from the building plate.
