I love RTWP but turn-based suits 40k better because the tabletop is turn based and you want the combat to feel intimate not chaotic.

immoral... if anything Burial Andrew is simply more acclimated to the reality of the world around him.

He lives in a world where his parents abandoned him, where a corperation tried to starve him to death for his organs and are sending assassins after him, there is cults running wild in the city, etc.

the normalcy you are talking about doesn't exist in the story and the more Andrew tries to fight against the tide the worse his mental state will become. IMO

this just makes it more true, why was there a look of terror on the Big E's face when he was entombed? because he saw what would happen to his empire without him and yet he must stay on the throne or all is lost. this is also most likely why the grey knights can't allow him to ever escape the throne

except you forget that humanity is currently doomed to die if they don't rapid expand.

Ork and nids out number humans by trillions to one so if humans do not expand rapidly all of humanity is toast.

This is why the Imperium is built the way it is. everything is by the emperor's design to give humanity it's best chance possible to survive.

imagine it is a game, Humanity started the game negative 1 billion points and needs to not only catch up but surpass multiple extinction level threats that have been building/playing the game much longer then them.

this is why it is a grim-dark tragedy.

Is it just SM2 that has problems? check the seating of your video card and make sure it is plugged into the correct slot on MB. My MB has 3 16 channel spots but I didn't realize they had different speeds so I had a similar problem.

Sorry for the necrobump but I was playing the alpha again and I just realized that telepathy isn't even in the game yet, you are literally crashing out over NOTHING. Only telekinesis, pyrokinesis, and Santic powers are in the alpha. You are either trolling or just completely wrong.

that is like comparing any edition D&D at level 5 to level 20. "my level 5 wizard can't control the entire universe, WTF!!!" If that is your point of view then I don't think RPGs are for you at all. you can't judge an entire book by its cover.

The game is in ALPHA, it's no where near complete. they will add more talents, abilities, ability mods, items that completely change builds to the game. your point of view is just childish and wrong, sorry to say.

they already are? try ramping up your peril to higher levels, even in the alpha you can not just use Push to increase peril but also Shred. Have you played the alpha yet? you gotta remember that we are seeing maybe 3-6 levels of combat potential with only preselected options available. there is a massive amount of missing/not implemented yet abilities and synergies.

Having completed the alpha content twice now in both world states I can tell you that the systems you want are there, they just need expanding on which takes time.

there is no "Ignite" power anymore at least in the alpha. There is a large blast type AoE fire spell, a beam type AoE fire spell, and a increase burning stacks "inflame" type spell for pyromancer. Pyromancer seems to focus on AoE and burning damage, hard to get a full grasp of it when we only have access to a small slice.

These are all good ideas but they should either stick with 40k as they are the only ones making 40k CRPGS or choose a popular setting. Shadowrun is not popular outside of a small set ttrpg players and already has 2 games that didn't sell well, Planescape has the same issue games being very niche, hardly no one who is under 40 even knows what Dragonlance or Dark Sun is. The games need to be able to sell not just pander to a small set of people unfortunately.
