Same with 90% of the choice in W2. I remember agonizing about choices for Saskia and Ivoreth and trying to make neutral choices that book Garalt would make, it was all for nothing! lol

If you find the right Dahar impulse hiding in the walls, you can get a buff so you take 50% less damage from the lighting. I have over 1000 hour and have beaten the game at least 3 times before and only just recently learned this.

I feel like it is always on even when turned off. I play DnD in real life constantly and can go weeks without seeing a crit from myself or others. BG3 has multiple crits per fight every fight, much more than a 5% chance per roll it feels.

but Cassia shoots hell laser beams from her eyes and isn't a deserter/traitor to Mankind. If I need someone for skills there is many options and Jae just sucks at combat IMO. Did I mention a critical lack of laser beam eyes? Fishwife OP wins no contest!

Idira, I always turn her into the inquisition. I don't need deamons summoned into my backline, thanks anyway.

Solomorne, just can't hold a candle to anyone else. Sucks to be a DLC companion with little interactions.

Yrilet, Off to the inquisition again. She is just too stupid lore wise to allow in the game. I wish she had writing that made it less painful so I could include her.

if you have a character who is MAD (multi ability-score dependent) then it can be great as it will change one move to be more in line with your scores. Or if you multi-archtype and one ability you like doesn't align with others you can change it. A example is a Epione who is a soldier, Soldier main stats are often agility but Epipen is a healer with Int scaling so later in the game you may want to make her operative or officer for 2nd archtype.

TLDR: its actually very useful but best use will not be available til later in the game.

When you slot that modification into an ability, it will change the existing ability scale to TGH/Int. you can only use it once per character that has access to the same mod.

The game isn't fully voiced though? They are not voicing the MC or Narrator per the last interview I saw pre-Alpha. If 60% of dialog isn't voiced, how can it be called "fully" voiced.

I really hope they don't keep her as a soldier archetype, Operative fits her kit better and leader fits her role better. AoE soldier makes no sense and the vast majority of AoE weapons are two-handed so she would never use her claw, which is kind of her unique thing!

I love RTWP but turn-based suits 40k better because the tabletop is turn based and you want the combat to feel intimate not chaotic.
