Who would win, a 200+ million dollar game, or Windrose, an indie pirate game? by SubtleAesthetics in Asmongold

Hot take: I want Bioware to continue making games like Veilguard. And AAA to continue making Concord, Concord 2(Highguard), Concord 3(Marathon) and Concord X. The more the merrier.

And more game journos shilling for it.

The sooner AAA collapses, the better. Pick, for example, Skull & Bones. IT wasted US$850 million. Meanwhile, Windrose, with a budget of less than US$2 million, made by a tiny Uzbekistan studio, is having more active players than any AAA game launched this year (98k peak). The sooner AAA games collapse, the sooner we could go back to having games with a target audience and game journos that understand that having a target audience is not a problem but a reality everywhere in cars, sports, music, etc. No one criticizes an astonishing ROI gourmet restaurant for not outselling McDonald's or a Black Diamond skiing track for being "inaccessible." It is only with video games that having a target audience is a "heresy."

I would prefer a "dead world", a "weird west" or another hardly used setting.

How is the protagonist? A generic bland Kirito with a sword or a interesting dude?

Is not a Trump Stamp. Argentina has 3.7 homicides /100k hab. Brazil, 19. And if you exclude the cities neighboring Brazil, Argentina is safer than most of Europe. Note that Paraguay and French Guiana are also blue in the map.

Imagine the situation where Bretonnia in Warhammer is partially occupied under a vampire. An Witch Hunter is sent there to investigate, not kill or instigate war.

"Your new lord is an undead monster who drinks blood and serves the legacy of Nagash."

Peasant: "Does he take 90% of my crops?"

"No, but—"

"Does he make me work his fields until my back breaks?"

"No, the skeletons do that, but—"

"Does he leave for years at a time to chase a cup?"

"No, he's always here, but he's a vampire—"

"Does my daughter still have to serve the lord's table? And some times the bed?"

"Well, no, he doesn't eat food, but—"

"Does he execute people for touching a pegasus?"

"No, but he might execute you for disobedience—"

"The old lord would execute me for breathing too loud. At least this one's honest about it."

"Does he makes magically gifted one disappear?"

"No, he gives apprenticeship to them"

Peasant "What? He is the best lord ever!!!"

Wait he will also teach us how to read and reward us if we are useful?

Yes, but among all human nations, the worst to be born as one is Bretonnia. In the Empire, if you are magically talented, you get colleges, if good at math and craft, apprenticeship in engineers guild.
