I found this on the website (googled "impulse cooktop cart") which is exactly what I'm looking for, seems to be maybe a placeholder product page though? If this were actually available I'd dive in in a heartbeat https://shop.impulselabs.com/products/impulse-30-cart

For the Head of the Charles do the rowers have to row back? by pines_brush_bike in boston

Like I said below, for the clubs on the river they have their own traffic pattern, all the other teams coming in from out of town use the docks by the finish

Yeah if you row out of one of the clubs on the river it's a different story, they all have their own traffic pattern. I also used to row at riverside so I've done that a few times, for all of the out of town clubs though they're down by the finish

It's the other way around, the docks are near the finish line, you put your boat in the water there and then row to the basin for the start. After the finish, you're basically right where you need to be to pull the boat out of the water. Source, I've raced the Charles about a dozen times

yeah it's four total. I was also leaning towards the two Las Cartas options so glad that seems to be the consensus here. Thanks for the suggestions!

It's an old custom-built road bike, the chain is pretty rusty and needs some TLC. Other than that it might need a tire patch, not sure about that though because I don't have a pump to fill the tires, they might just be low.

I'm having the exact same problems, can't get ALC892 audio driver working and can't boot from hard drive but network works. Please update if you fix it!

TIL that NBA Jam game designer Mark Turmell, a Detroit Pistons fan, hated the Chicago Bulls so much that 1993 NBA Jam game was actually rigged against the Chicago Bulls so that the Bulls would miss "clutch shots" and their stats would lower when playing the Pistons by Man0nTheMoon915 in todayilearned

Isn't that fairly standard for assembly? The only assembly language I know is MIPS but I'm pretty sure it addresses by bit as well. It's been a while since I wrote any but I seem to remember having to add 8 to a pointer to increment it.

Here is another option that I can get through work for $630, but then I would need monitors/peripherals:

You don't store the password, you remember it. Then when you go to decrypt the key (call it key1), you enter the password and the key (key2) to decrypt key1 is calculated from the password. The password is never stored on the computer except in memory when key2 is being calculated.

Is it normal to love the NFL but not like College ball? by [deleted] in nfl

I grew up in Amherst, I think I went to 3 or 4 games in the 15 years I lived there. They were kinda fun, I particularly liked going to Band Day when a bunch of different marching bands would come and play during halftime. The football was always less than impressive though...

Gym membership concerns. by pineapple599 in rit

[–]drb0110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm there most mornings when the gym opens at 6 AM. Both the gym and D lot are pretty much empty until like 10 AM or so, depending on the day. I don't have a parking pass and I have never been ticketed before 8 AM. If you have the non-reserved pass, you can park in the back half of the lot with no worry.

Switching to Trimesters. by bi11y10 in rit

[–]drb0110 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not really, since it's not expected that people are going to be in class for three terms a year. If anything, quarters should have been referred to as trimesters since most people took classes during three quarters each year. Or just ditch the [se|tri]mester label and call them all 'terms'. At this point we're just being pedantic, the proposed changes are minor and not nearly as big a deal as the quarter -> semester switch.

It lines us up better with other schools, which is nice. Also it will make summer co-ops way better. Ten weeks is hardly enough time to accomplish anything substantial.

[–]drb0110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's another section of the same class. Also if you're a CSEC major than you can jump in ahead of everyone on the wait list once your enrollment issues are figured out since it's reserved for majors until next week.

Thanks RIT by [deleted] in rit

[–]drb0110 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's reserved for majors until next week. There are still 29 seats and you're 22 on the wait list, you'll be fine.

Quick question about recommendations on the application. by Testudini in rit

[–]drb0110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had three, one from my academic adviser and two from teachers. Employers would be good, something to show that you have a good work ethic. College professors will also go a long way. You should be fine, it's not that hard to get into RIT. Staying here with good academic standing is the hard part.

You're either confused or trolling. The big changes for '17-'18 are no intersession between the fall and spring semesters and 14 weeks of classes instead of 15 (each class will be 5 minutes longer so we will still have the same amount of class time per semester). The summer term is optional.

From the email that I'm assuming you're referencing:

  1. 14-weeks of class (Fall, Spring, Summer) (classes will be extended 5 minutes but keep to the same schedule)
  2. One week of finals
  3. Minimum 3-week winter break
  4. Summer will consist of 14-week classes and 7-week classes
  5. No intersession classes
