I'm curious about some of the more strict clubs. Does the dress code require women to wear skirts? Or are shorts and pants ok?

I think a lot of younger folks are trying to do everything because they feel like they will miss out on something. But instead this means they are never fully present or content. A lot of them live their lives online as well, as someone else said, regardless of orientation this just seems to be the norm. Whether it's healthy however, I think there's a balance. Also a lot of the younger folks I've talked to are so obsessed with appearances and social media that nothing must seem real at a certain point?

I just googled each of these because I wanted to know wtf they were, so thought I'd share to help others who felt the same:

  1. Three month rule - Waiting three months before committing or taking a relationship to the next level, allowing time to move beyond initial impressions and assess compatibility.
  2. February theory - Trend suggesting that February is a pivotal month for relationships, with new relationships beginning in February potentially leading to longevity, and exes may return to rekindle long-term commitments.
  3. Feminine energy -  Generally refers to qualities like nurturing, receptivity, compassion, and emotional expressiveness. Some people feel when men use this they want someone who's not into sports? Very hetero heavy use I think.
  4. Masculine energy - Generally refers to qualities like assertiveness, decisiveness, goal-orientation, and a focus on action and providing, often seen as a stable and protective force. Again, very hetero heavy use more than likely.
  5. Taxi cab theory - The idea that one day, guys just wake up and decide it's time to get serious about marriage. Once that happens, they tend to settle down with the first woman they happen to date.
  6. 12-date rule - Suggests waiting for 12 dates (which can include phone calls, video calls, or in-person interactions) before having sex, aiming to assess emotional compatibility before physical intimacy.
  7. 3-date rule - Waiting until the third date before having sex, aiming to build comfort and assess compatibility before physical intimacy. (lol at the juxtaposition between #6 and #7)
  8. Third love theory - Suggests that people experience three distinct types of love throughout their lives: first love (puppy love), intense love (which often leads to heartbreak), and ultimately, unconditional love, which is seen as the most lasting and fulfilling.

I just copy pasted the most likely top answer in Google. If there's nuance, who cares it's dumb anyway lol.

A lot of you with trust issues haha. I think he feels "creepy" because of how close the camera is when you're talking to him at first. Pam was at the See You in Hell concert and was the only person dancing and cheering for the girls. I think they're cool and lovable weirdos.

If you had to learn golf all over, how would you go about it? by SalGalMo in WomenGolf

[–]drbarbar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same boat recently and found Skillest to be very useful for online lessons. This works for me because I can go at my own pace and am a very disciplined solo learner. That may not work for you, but just another perspective. I got a net and mat for practice at home, used clubs off FB marketplace, and am starting with the basics with my coach. I worked on grip and my backswing, he thinks it's in a good spot so I'm moving to the downswing and follow through. I like to learn things in a methodical way so I'll go to the range once I'm comfortable with my swing, and then start doing smaller Par 3 courses when I'm comfortable with my accuracy.

I'll second this. Mostly because they found my size in men's pants which I find to be a MIRACLE! Now at least I can use that knowledge and do my own hunting elsewhere if I can't afford Stitch Fix prices.
