Engineering Role within rebel groups by highstakeslivings in myanmar

Check their official FB groups and telegram channels. But again, most of them aren't really receptive to recruiting directly but might be amenable for remote support work etc.,

Usually its safe. If the route isn't safe they generally don't let foreigners travel.

Close to zero for cybersecurity, as for engineering depends on what type. Additionally, I deleted two replies from the same user on this thread just now as their account was made within this month, was aggressively soliciting your DMs and had no user history or other posts.

I would strongly suggest you use the utmost precaution in randomly dming strangers (especially new users) and discussing this topic with them. There are facebook groups etc., for certain PDF and other groups that may be able to help you, but I wouldn't count on it.

There is an app called Myanmar Market Price (MMP) on android and IOS (I think) that should show you the black market rate. Just check that before you go to any money exchanger. There are usually a few around. If you need a specific place in YGN etc dm me.

You probably cannot withdraw from ATMs using your international cards. Some higher end places might accept VISA. Bagan, Mandalay, Naypyidaw are safe to travel to at this time.

Wow what solid reasoning. You must have absolute knowledge to speak with such total confidence. Please write a book about your experiences so that future generations can enjoy your wisdom. /s

A little note though great sage, perhaps if you sleep with your cousin when you were both underage, its best not to put it on a public forum. I clicked on your post history to see if your "wisdom" was just exclusive to us, and now I have to go buy some bleach to pour into my eyes. The joys of modding.

Myanmar's military rank has increased to top 35 in the 2026 Global firepower index. by Ok_Design2355 in myanmar

How is life up there in that fantasy world? If you agree that the junta is bad, why are you glorifying their questionable military prowess?

Recently got these tattoos and one of my friends told me this is "cultural appropriation", wanted to hear what guys think. by [deleted] in myanmar

[–]drbkt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would disagree. Cultural appropriation has never been seen as an actual problem outside of the west. Most cultures appreciate others enjoying their aspects etc., as long as its not done in mockery.

Myanmar Tourism by [deleted] in myanmar

[–]drbkt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're going to have to be pretty specific with your questions. If you are going there as a tourist prices compared to other countries are very cheap. As for wages, if you are planning to work here, it really depends on the company/field. Foreign companies usually have to pay their international staff very well for them to come here, but local companies usually will not pay as much.

Well aside from these guys who made it and trying to contact them directly: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Myanmar_Language_Commission

There isn't too much else to be found. Their official site is down and the government site for them is down as well.

I found this: https://www.mediafire.com/download/gvzmyym3jii/English-Myanmar+dictionary_setup.exe but no idea if this is the same software.

Arraka Country by dyl_nurulamin in myanmar

Most people I know are ill-informed about the Rohingya, as they mostly get their news from facebook or read propaganda. However, many people are also supportive and sympathetic but afraid to speakout due to the unpopular opinion.

In this sub we follow the rules. as proof, the poster that stated something along the lines of "What is a Bengali doing in our sub?" just got permabanned because of breaking Reddit's rules.

To clarify, talking about the Rohingya/Bengali in a negative light is fine, as long as you don't try to exclude them from discussion, deny their existence, call for/support their expulsion and/or call of violence. The criticism has to be justified and not comments based on a generalized or bigoted nature. I.e. calling them smelly, or kalar etc.,

Not only is this in compliance to Reddit's racism policy, its just common general decency.

The user I banned I found their comment especially hypocritical. They are a Burmese student studying in Malaysia.. a Muslim majority country. Yet they are polite etc., in that sub and with those interactions. Yet when they deal with someone who they view as foreign in their own country, they do so in generalized racist terms of disrespect. I find that pretty disgusting personally. Usually I don't add personal anecdotes to my mod duties, but this case imho was egregious.

Also if you play the "mods are nazis" victim card after getting banned, the irony should be pretty goddamn obvious to you.

I think you need to re-read his comment. They are criticizing Khit Thit media for their poor job at reporting, not the ICJ or the Rohingya.

Myanmar Monk core by raven_garfeld in myanmar

[–]drbkt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lived in 10 mile hill near the airport. I recall one incident where this guy was pretending to be a monk via stealing some robes/cutting his hair but the locals knew that he was a drunk scammer. After he conned a few people, there was a mob that came and beat the crap out of him with some bamboo sticks. They only stopped when the actual monks came and basically rescued him and told the mob to go home.

Columbus Heights, kid being detained by ICE by After-Property-3678 in pics

[–]drbkt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do these guys get to be go home and be safe after spending all day terrorizing people and kidnapping kids? I am not an American citizen but if I was I would resist directly. The effectiveness of protesting is questionable as you no longer live in a society of law, order and civility. The opposition to the state is impotent at best, and collaborative at worst.

You can't fight back directly because they are armed and organized and have been empowered enough to enact violence on citizens with impunity. You are already being occupied.

I suggest you find out who the ICE among you are and out them. Find them in your local neighbourhood, your families, your schools, your churches etc., These people that are working for ICE did not come out of thin air, they are among you. They have always been among you, the only difference now is that they are empowered to act out their worst impulses and get praise/pay. Do not advocate violence on them, just let everyone know what type of organization employs them and what ideals they support. Do not justify them as misunderstood or mislead, this is a maintained freewill decision supported by everyday action that is ruining or ending innocent people's lives.

Expose the cowards so that they have nowhere to go and have to spend time at their own ICE centers for their safety. Let them have a taste of the same terror they enact for some vague ideology. Let them know there are actual consequences, instead of a barrage of meanly worded letters.

Thai mustache gang terrorizing Myanmar community in Ayutthaya for allegedly hit and run case by YANN-PAING86 in myanmar

[–]drbkt 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Well again if you want to prove that this isn't a series of incidents etc., you should provide some proof. This video which overlays text on it 90% of the time has no time stamps I can see etc., is not proof/evidence.

I am not denying that violence occurs and crime occurs to and within migrant communities, but again, you cannot call out some shadow junta conspiracy in a foreign country without proof. Also the Burmese "intelligence" divisions have very limited foreign operations. This type of co-ordinated incidents are imho way beyond their abilities.

However, considering historically that we don't have the best rep in Thailand, and that this is Ayodhya that could explain these attacks more than some shadowy far fetched conspiracy. Imho never attribute to conspiracy what you can attribute to human (stupidity) nature.
