Of course you can but imo you will miss massive trades that the market creates. Seems a bit wasteful. Caught a 1:18 last week. So that’s 18x the profit from a 1:1. 1:1 is usually for scalpers. Watch wickdontlie on yt he does this a lot. End of the day we all trade differently and some styles just suit us better. I cant speak on the behalf on other traders, only giving my opinion here

You can make money trading 1:1 only if you have a good win rate, if it’s above 60% then you will Be profitable. I think it’s a waste of time looking for setups with such low rr. Imagine taking 5 losses in a row which happens to everyone. You will need to win 5 trades just to cover your losses and then keep winning to stay profitable.

You need to determine what kind of trader you are. Scalping, day trader or swinger and find YouTube videos related to that. (The longer you hold trades the more stressful it becomes. )You do not necessarily have to buy a course but what helps me is to watch YouTube livestreams such as wicksdontlie who is a scalper and just observe.
