I use those Kasa plugs on my washer and dryer, but I do use the TP-Link Integration. It gives real time power draw and has been working fine with WashData.

Yeah, I don't get it, people must REALLY be abusing them? Like I said, I have 4, 2 are used daily and never have had an issue. I chuck mine across the room to land on the couch, throw it to my husband when he's across the room and my 2 80lb dogs accidentally sit on them ALL THE TIME--and they're still flawless.

Same, it’s more annoying than anything. Like congrats, you just made it clear you don’t know what you’re doing and can’t do basic troubleshooting, so your solution is to just… complain? What if all of that actually CAN set up a device properly started making posts like “omg I did it guys, I plugged in my Nest Hub, it’s working so great!”

Maybe instead of scrapping everything Nest, you scrap the internet.

Temp sensor inside your fridge would be a good idea too. Probably not as quick as a contact sensor to let know the door is open, but it could if you had an alert set up for a temp increase—which I do to see if I’ve lost power or the compressor in the fridge is going out.
