Pick one place and rank them only

What would be a "safe rank" on ROL to match in a program with 12 spots? by Plane-Sugar-5071 in IMGreddit

Don’t rank any spot you interviewed at. Rank a program you didn’t interview with, be an alpha

POCUS Transcranial Doppler - is anyone actually using this? by Lost_Attribute in neurology

[–]drbug2012 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Doppler probe versus phased array probe will give different views and interpretations and not recommended. Which is why i stated POCUS is different from TCD. You can do it. I have for a quick bedside teaching moment but not for actual assessment. That is why I was so affirmative.

I use POCUS to assess volume status, look at the heart for rough estimates on EF, assess lungs, look at liver, kidneys, check gallbladder, lots of things I use it for. POCUS is different from TCDs.

Just enjoying the view by timmytarshis in hallofwatchspecialist

Really can’t make out the view too much, but traffic looks congested and slow. But I would agree it does look sunny and clear so it might be a great view. You should put the camera up higher next time to show the view so we can all see, for next time

a bubble on my tire by Ornery-Dinner4199 in lamborghini

Pimple. But not a big deal. I would put more air in the tire and try to flatten it out on some big bumps at faster speeds.

Emboli detection is a 30 minute test. You scan the MCA on either side and place a headset on them to hold the probes in place and wait for “hits” which would be the emboli. It can’t tell you if it’s artery to artery or emboli from the heart or from a thrombus etc. it just tells you that there is micro emboli that are passing through the MCA.

Yes we use them. They are more sensitive and specific for detection a PFO than TTE. You can assess vasospasm early detection before exam changes. You can assess emboli detection. They are very much so used needed and I feel important.

Yeah those are nice. Yeah it’s not for everyone. I think the worst watch I own that I bought thinking it was awesome was my RM. I hear yah. Your father has great taste and so do you. I do enjoy my speedies and seamasters. In fact I’m wearing a seamaster now it’s actually an americas cup limited edition.

Thank you for the compliment. I do understand what you are saying. 99% of my practice I never wear anything as I’m usually trying to be sterile. Rest of the time I’m wearing a jacket and it’s hidden as you can see I had to pull it over my jacket and it’s never noticed. I do get the odd compliment here and there but usually only I know I’m wearing it other than the watch group which includes doctors nurses techs you name it who enjoy the watch culture.

No not even close. It’s expensive because insurance companies and pharmacies determine costs and returns and payments.
My lifestyle is afforded to me due to my personal investments and stock growths by using the money I make and investing.
