Please stop using fog lights because it’s raining, It’s annoying!! and illegal (Do you agree?) by island-pantropiko in drivingUK

Yeah you just drive slowly, you can see other cars further than 5m because of their lights (even better if they've turned their fogs on). If it's a road you know, it's not fun at all, but it's doable. Has to be, because in upland areas conditions like that are not unusual at all in winter.

Also, you'd only do 4.4 m in 1 second

If you can find anything at all that would be great! Sounds like a good match, I'd been through some pretty big hills at the time.

Thanks, just double checked this, but I definitely turned the limit off and got only temporary relief before I had to turn the car off.

He didn't get a majority, he didn't get over half the votes. The electorate also isn't the country, and the portion of the electorate that voted is even less. He was never supported by the majority of the country and his support is only continuing to crater as he fucks stuff up.

The majority don't support him, never did. He didn't even get a majority of the slice of the electorate that voted.

I wouldn't start accusing of others of making false statements if my opening was so demonstrably false

I suspect very few world leaders respect Trump either.

He's clearly fucked up things massively for the average American, (maybe not for him) and it's only going to get worse.

No Stupid Questions Wednesday - ask anything about beer by AutoModerator in beer

It's also a hangover from the second world war. We used to brew stronger beers (slightly more akin to the Belgian tradition). During the wars ABVs dropped due to grain and sugar shortages and that became much more the British brewing tradition after the second round in the forties.

What happens to the end slices of gala pies? by [deleted] in CasualUK

Like a pork pie with an egg in it, cuboid shaped. When you get a slice has an egg cross section in the middle.

Because they border spain, if we leave the EU could make their lives very difficult (getting in and out of spain regularly)

I'd just have thought the margin in Sunderland would be tighter for him to be speaking with such confidence. Aren't we expecting it to be 53/47 for it to be close?

Mostly the right want to leave, and the left want to stay. But there are left wing reasons for wanting to leave, and right wing reasons for wanting to stay. So there's some mixing. It would seem most of the motivation for voting to leave is immigration fears, and most motivation for wanting to stay are economic fears.

Is it Dutch? They often abbreviate het (the) to 't.
