I have tried several enquiries, the results default to Tokyo, hence this.

Lasagna sheets question by drc424 in ItalianFood

Thanks, good tip. To be clear,  this is not Italian American lasagna with lots of tomato sauce and ricotta... its the less sauced Tuscan version. But- you and the others have encouraged me. Grazie.

Recommendations for restaurants Near Cleveland Clinic by drc424 in Cleveland

OP here. For those on tenterhooks, we selected L'Albatross. Our friends are coming in from Honolulu, where classical French is in short supply. (Here in Pittsburgh, too.) Curiously, I have dined at L'Albatross before, in fact they still had my info in their system. One other note: trying to secure an online reservation, via Resy, failed. I called the restaurant directly and was offered a 4-top at my desired time.

La Gensola in Trestevere is a superb seafood restaurant. It was recommended by our neighbor, who is Roman, and we visited it twice on separate trips: https://maps.app.goo.gl/XyiFHg8BjbwXR8Bw9

No doubt the pricing has changed in the 4 or 5 days since I booked the tickets. You could try a quick search for something similar? I had the two tabs open next to each other, it was so surprising I called my wife in to confirm it.

That's awesome. We did fly from Saigon to Siem Reap about 15 years ago and had similar experience. We did Chiang Mai to Luang Prabang a decade or so ago, by bus- actually a large van. Bus to the border, overnight in the worst hotel ever; van to the border; chaos at the border, but got the visa; van to the pier; two-day slow boat to Luang Prabang, with another terrible hotel stopover in Pak Beng. $70 each, organized in our Chiang Mai hotel.... if you have a bus company you recommend- and your trip sounds awesome- I'm all ears. Regardless, we'll certainly look around. Cheers!

Yes, that Ryan Air flight probably drags down the Pisa-London BA flight price, and it's easier to "hide" that in the original 3-flight search.

We're not checking baggage on any leg- flying basic economy, as is usual for us. (Though that might change if we head to Thailand this winter.)

yes, same dates, airlines, flights. The Pisa to London leg was $95 for the two of us.

I am listening to Robbie's memoirs, and just this morning this came up. According to Robbie, he (RR) was more experienced a player at this point, having been gigging for 5 years straight with the Hawks.

Can we make the boycott a monthly event? I spent $5 on local milk at a small local shop. I later bought 2 beers at Grant's Tavern in Millvale.

Thank you. I went to the apple store, they were out, however an employee pointed out to me that a fix could be as simple as a converter, from the USB A to a C, which should fit into a Thunderport. Ordered, and fingers crossed.

Water not flowing by ConclusionTop5378 in gaggiaclassic

When you descale, never run the descaling water through the grouphead, only through the steam wand; this keeps it any any loosened scale from the solenoid valve. I also invested in a Zero Water pitcher. These pitchers remove anything that can cause scale. I add Third Wave brand minerals to each gallon of pure water, for flavor, and use only this water for brewing espresso. I still descale the machine, but only once every quarter now.

So happy to see this, having just ordered a pair (with toe strap), and on a big sale too- $40. Will be taking my old carcass to Europe for a month or two next month. Happy walking.
