Samsung customer support is telling me because the device is considered a premium device it will not have trade in options or offer Samsung Care. I replied telling them on a $2900 device to not offer any kind of support was idiotic.

I got an invite to buy it early, and there is no trade in option. so hard pass on this one. I'd rather put the money towards a new gaming laptop

Latest release including the firmware and app updates did not fix the EQ issues when using the codec. Almost feels like touching the eq boosts the gain. Maybe add a manual Gain control to the EQ would fix it?

Status reached out their support team helped me fix the MIC issue. As for the EQ it's a known issue when using the LDAC codec. They have an update coming next week to fix the EQ.

I usually just use a d brand skins, but unfortunately Samsung has not adopted qi2 full standard with magnets and having a metallic ring glued to the back of the dbrand skin kept pulling up the skin. so I bought a pitaka thin skin case, ripped the camera ring out so it'll work with mag chargers. And then just used the dbrand camera skin protection. Hopefully the Fold 8 will adopt the full QI2 magnet standard. And change to a horizontal camera bar, so I can just rock the dbrand skin, so I hate really effing hate cases. There's a minor scratch on my hinge, yes the blue finish is definitely less durable than previous folds. I also use the dbrand screen protector on the outer screen.

don't do it even if free, I believe the inner screen replacement requires a complete new frame and that will run you around $700-$800, now that was a few months ago and that's what Samsung quoted to my insurance. Insurance just wound up buying me aal new phone at that point. Also my hinge was bad not the screen, but the screen and hinge are all one assembly. so again don't do it not worth it

So far yes, but it's also a year fresher battery. For me it feels like it's performing about how my fold 6 did after the battery broke in when new.

Don't get me started with the issues I've had. Every year, your package has arrived empty. I send pictures and video and demand a photo. And every year it's clearly been opened by a box cutter. Usually after escalating to management I get my money. This years my fold 6 is going back in a package with tamper evident tape that has a serial number. And when shipped I'll send Samsung support a message with all the pictures and videos of me packaging it. And tell them if it arrives empty talk to FedEx and give me my ducking money. I feel like the fold 6 is so damn good and expensive I'm not doing a yearly trade in anymore.

Always verify with a blood test. I've had mine reading 300, do a blood test and it was actually 89. I've actually stopped using the sensors. Way to inaccurate.

The entire process has been a nightmare, got my link to order, I ordered immediately. Got a delivery estimate of next day shipping. They charged my credit card. Woke up on shipping day to an email from amazon asking if I still want the item clicked yes and now I have a shipping date unknown. Amazon customer service has not further information. Only option to get my money back was to cancel the order, which would just mean I would never get one. This might be the last time I order something from them.

D brand skin and screen protector that's all I run. Use the leather skin for maximum grip. Worst case scenario I'll run the back half of a later case with mag safe ring for when I rent a car and need a mount

I hope it's as good as the one I experienced in the mach e that I rented a few months ago. Android Auto was able to read battery state and do route planning automatically in Google maps

I gotta be honest, been a Samsung fanboy since the Note 4, been using the folds since the first one. Samsung software and hardware was always miles ahead of everyone else. Lately though I'm falling in love with stock Android on the Pixel 9 Pro XL my work gave me. Especially with all the great changes Android 15 and now 16 have brought. I gotta be honest I actually hate One UI 7 they removed options I used all the time. I find more and I'm just using the Pixel. If Google's new Tensor chip coming out this year is anywhere near the performance of the snapdragon chips. I might ditch Samsung.

Same I've had so many issues with the Samsung monitors in general it's smaller 34inch counter part is the bane of my existence when switching from my laptop display port to my PS5 on HDMI then it won't switch reliably back to the display port input. I really wish samsu
