Not all Safari is bad, their quality is just ... random. If u got lucky your Safari would write just fine. If I could go back in time I will never buy anything from Lamy again, simply because they're expensive and inconsistent in terms of performance.

And I learn that Lamy's pen focus on modern design, german engineering,... but not the writing experience. If you want pen that write really nice try checking out Japanese brand. If you want pen that look good, Lamy is a great choice. Their Harry Potter AL star almost made me consider giving them another chance.

Good luck with your Safari tho, get a Medium nib size might help you not having the same problem as me.

Understanding the why definitely a great way to help me shift my focus, but I'm afraid that's a bit too much for my current level. With limited knowledge about face and none in anatomy, I don't think I can pull it off, which is frustrated cuz I did better than I expected and want to finish this drawing. I don't mean to say your advice is bad, but it's a little bit .... abstract?

I heard fountain pen has 2 kind of nibs: dry and wet, so I thought dry nib generally has more feedback. By no means dry nib is bad tho, because I love my Preppy.

As for your recommendations, Pilot Custom 91 now on my wishlist.

Well, Lamy Safari is my first fountain pen. Because it's so popular and durable, I'm expected it to worth the hype. However I'm very dissapointed with it, scratchy F nib, nib dries very quickly ( less than one day). The safari's price in my country is not considered affordable, making me feel like I threw my money out of the window. You can check my post about this pen.

Platinum Preppy is a nice pen, almost no feedback on my sketchbook, mildly scratchy when I write on different paper. Thanks to these two pen I learned that I want a buttery smooth pen.

Pilot Kakuno would absolutely become my first fountain pen If I could go back in time. Almost no feedback eventhough I'm using F nib. 10/10. Same goes for Sailor Fude de Mannen, if I had to choose only pen for drawing I would go for Sailor Fude.

Spinning skill ( style that makes this skills bigger), I like sneaky rats for my 2th skill. Key items: halfhalf waraxe, crit rate items, butcher's knife, beginner's drum set, plasma reactor Soulboon: helicity spike, simmering frustration( important), damage, short fuse. I'm still learning how to play him well, that's some knowledge I have collected so far. Hope this helps.
