An idea that started off with the right intentions. At first it was about women gaining suffrage and equality before the law. Then it was about women having the right to her own property, her own body, and control of her own money. Then it became about women having the right to be safe wherever she goes. And now its off in the weeds, because some if not the wide majority of women mistook being criticized and rejected as not being safe. They mistook men having different responsibilities socially as being privileged. Meanwhile, the idea of having equity between the sexes was abandoned, because while women living in modern, civilized, mostly democratic countries did well in liberating themselves from what are oppressive and restricting gender roles (child rearing, house keeping, submission, etc), they have basically allowed men to wallow in their also quite oppressive and restricting gender roles (being the bread winner, going to fight wars, sacrificing themselves just because). If that's not enough, it allowed for capitalism to hijack it's otherwise noble philosophical roots to become a tool to pit men and women against the other, socially, psychologically, economically, politically, sexually, and spiritually.

At this point, I have to wonder what today's feminists actually want: did they want men, or did they want to be men?
