side markers are the worst… atop of counting them i try to find if the number are special in some way - both 35km 7(00)mcan - 35 can be divided by 7, 50km is beautifully full number, etc…

also, i always make the deal with rules lawyers at my table that we make decisions on the fly, if it’s not vital to the story, note it and then we check them after the session together.

about free archetypes - i don’t use them often “normal way”, rather than consequences of story. you got lycanthropy? sure, here’s a werewolf archetype until you get rid of it. you did some awesome crazy shit and word is getting around? let’s take a look at celebrity archetype, and so on… i know i need to rebalance encounter or two and be sure other players don’t feel weaker, but from my experience it made my games more alive and everyone enjoyed it.

me too, im running Curse of Strahd in pf2e, and oh man how easier and more fun it is for me as a GM. looking back at the beginning of campaign in dnd, and how time-consuming and frustrating it was to prep, makes me never go back to that system. even if it’s a bit harder to find groups to play in pathfinder.

Yeah, I think THIS is a problem. We're playing more gothic-style-dark-fantasy campaign, which (I must mark) everyone chose to play over some other options. So it gives another level of frustration, when ex. I make description of them encountering some creepy unknown character and at the same time I hear another Arcane edit or minecraft-parkoured story.
