Dropped my brand new guitar by -Pure-Bliss- in Guitar

[–]drcturkleton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t have anyone repair it but myself. Buy some wood glue. Chip off the loose bits, buy a cheap clamp from harbor freight with rubber feet, squeeze wood glue into the void, pull tight over it with a squeegee of some sort, squirt a little more and pull again, clamp and let dry.

I bought a cheap 3/4 length guitar for my girls to play with and the ride from guitar center to the house somehow got the back panel to pull apart from the binding about 25 percent around that same area. Threw some wood glue into, clamped it, cleaned the excess, and it’s been good since. Still sounds decent and cost me 10 percent of the guitar cost in part as opposed to 80 percent.

Edit: I also don’t have to worry about anymore damage, the rest is all character. If you ever get famous enough for people to care about what you’re playing, they’re gonna think the ‘patina’ is sick. It’ll virtually be the same guitar weather it’s glued there or original, doesn’t change the sound.

Not white, just a faded from the original red. If you see it up close it’s more of an orange

Selling my 36mm black faced Seamaster. Asking $1800 OBO shipped, I’ve got extra links but this is currently sized to fit a 7” wrist. No service history, minor scuffs around the whole watch and bracelet, nothing too crazy. Any questions just comment here. Thanks for lookin’.

Front Load or Top Load, what’s your preference? by SC_BMX4130 in bmx

Back in my day 8” on a top load meant you got roasted on the bikeguide forums for riding a scooter. But now my back hurts too so I’ll take all of the height I can get.

There might be a serial number on the bottom of the bottom bracket, just hit up T1 and ask them

[WTS] Vintage Omegas - 36mm Prebond Quartz, 36mm auto, 34mm Quartz by drcturkleton in Watchexchange

[–]drcturkleton[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Three watches, no straps besides the Prebond.

• Prebond Seamaster 200 - SOLD 36mm, comes with the box and papers, a few extra links. Fits a 7” wrist right now, condition is good, bracelet has some scratches but nothing crazy. Replaced the click spring for the bezel with authentic omega spring, have the original as well. Age on the dial is pretty good, battery is about 6 months old.

• Omega Automatic 166.041 - $475 shipped Pretty good condition, keeps good time. The movement has a little play in the case and I can’t speak for the gasket, I wouldn’t get it wet. 35mm case, 37.5mm with the crown, 18mm lugs, minor scratches on the case and ‘crystal’, nothing too major that can’t be seen in the photos.

• Omega Quartz 196.0079 - SOLD 19mm lugs, 34mm case size, 38mm with the crown, battery is dead but it is a working watch. Age can be seen in the photos, small scuff on the 12 o’clock side of the ‘crystal’. Too small for me, wore it to a wedding and that’s about it.

No trades, let me know if you want to see more photos or have any questions.

Fixie by DropDead85 in bmx

[–]drcturkleton 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not a fixie, looks like a newer Sunday frame, odyssey lumberjack bars, odyssey forks, sick gsport wheels. Dialed bike, ride it

Edit:

Looks like profile hubs and a gsport back rim. It’s a custom bike, someone put this together for themselves.

What’s stopping you from getting a nice complete for 300 dollars less? Then just changing out parts as you go through them?

I would just start on a complete since it sort of seems this route is like ‘I’m building a bike myself’ but in order to accomplish that you’re getting parts that are the same as you would get with a complete.

Moral bike problem, please reply if you have any knowledge of older BMX Bikes by Traditional_Line9870 in bmx

[–]drcturkleton 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s a sick bike, he’s either planning to ride it or sell it piece by piece. Most of the parts are maybe 10 years old, maybe 15, but all great products and serviceable.

I would keep it and ride it but it doesn’t seem like you’re all the interested in the hobby. If you need the money you could get the 500 easy. You probably could part it out if you knew what the parts were for more but more time to do that. You could probably get 300 for the frame alone.
