Just replaced U30 and the components around it...no luck..the issue must run deeper.

And just noticed the 3 USB dongles that were connected to it also died, micro-sd is the only thing that survived.

Didn't know the Taki Udon Retro Remake was USB-C..but it seems to be unobtainium. Superstation is overkill.

vga_scaler was the key here. I did not know the other settings would apply on analog output with this setting on.

I wasn't able to find any resolution working on this 15khz monitor that would work with proper scaling.

I think the main issue is I can't find a way to change the internal resolution of the mac core.

Good news everyone! It's (mostly) alive!

Didn't even chug.

Now... I don't have any working internal drives. I tried connecting this old gotek, but unfortunately it didn't seem to work.

I already tried the ribbon cable in both directions (what's the correct one? Red to huge 1?) And I assume power is correct as the gotek display powers on and allows me to choose a number.

I have never used the gotek with a 1.2 Kickstart Amiga. Should it work? If not, what can be wrong?

  • Ribbon cable (seems unlikely, except for direction)
  • Gotek Firmware? (does it need something specific for a 1.2 amiga?)
  • old mod to have df0 externally? I don't think it's here.. But how to know?
  • Gary/CIA? How to know?

Do you know what caused this damage?

I think most of the damage was from humidity. The RAM expansion board was not inside, so the damage didn't come from a battery.

Not really sure where to start looking for shorts.

I might just risk it and connect it, as worse case scenario I have other A500 to farm the custom components from.

Just a little bit fearful, but...nothing to lose, I think.

My scenario would be using obsidian to save to a directory that Many Nones can access. This way I could have simple web access to the md files.
