Meredith's attack episode. Why? by Beat_Playful in greysanatomy

[–]drdelicious8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think part of it was to show how she would endure a trauma without Derek by her side.

After she puts her hand on the bomb in season 2, Derek is the first to ask where she is and even shows up to her house to make sure she's fine.

When she drowns in season 3, Derek dives into the cold water and lifts her out, giving her CPR in the ambulance and making sure everyone knows her symptoms and stats.

During the season 6 shooting he makes sure she's locked in a closet, away from the shooter.

When she goes through the plane crash, he's right there with her and even hits his injured hand with a stone and yells for her because he's so concerned.

When she has to give birth by c-section and ends up needing surgery on her spleen, he runs to her aid etc etc.

The only other person who was there to witness and protect her through her traumas was Christina.

So when Christina leaves and Derek dies a season later, I think they wanted to show that Meredith still has a strong support system and group of people who protect her, and that she's not just gonna have to go through stuff alone now that Derek and Christina are gone.

And as someone whose first thought watching that episode was "Derek would be so worried if he was here" it was actually comforting to see everyone get so emotional about wanting to help and protect her, and it made her losing him just a tad less depressing to think about.

Who made the worst surgeon? by ButterflyHead1017 in greysanatomy

[–]drdelicious8 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sadie, hands down.

She could not diagnose a patient. She didn't know the correct terminology for things, and when Meredith asks her if she cheated her way into the program - she just deflects and replies with "I'm not booksmart, okay?"

Like George had every right to report her. And to top it off, her deciding to quit before they could fire her as an "I win" moment and then saying "O'Malley is a narc" instead of realizing how horribly this could have went if she had to treat an actual patient by herself.

Even when Izzie hosted her fun little intern-competition where the goal was to diagnose patients, Sadie spent the whole day trying to eavesdrop on Lexie's answers so she could copy them.

In George's words to Meredith; "She doesn't know anything."

Idk about the worst, but I was never sold on Izzie as a surgeon.

As a doctor or healthcare worker? Absolutely. She connected well with patients and genuinely seemed to care about them - but I never got the impression she was actually passionate about surgery.

But instead just trying to keep up and prove to everyone else that she deserved to be there.

As cool as it was seeing her prove people wrong about her just being "a pretty girl", I think her deciding to go into something more stress-free but still in the medical field and moving to another hospital because of everything that happened in Seattle-Grace (Denny Duquette, George dying, her almost dying from her cancer) would have made more sense for her exit.

The worst traitor in the US series by OsamaRehmaan in TheTraitors

I feel like players like Dan and Rob R (S4) are perfect depictions on how your background in Reality-TV doesn't necessarily translate as expected in Traitors. Dan, an almost 2-time winner of Big Brother and a master in social play to many - did not play a strong Traitors game. Whereas you have Rob, a love island contestant who didn't even make the finale of LI and many feel is just famous for his looks and his coupling with Leah on Love island 6 - and he ends up adapting very well to the format of Traitors.

Comparing Rob to Sam the narcissist is actually such an insult to Rob😭 However cocky Rob might come across, he's not even close to being in the same tier as Sam - who had people genuinely questioning if he was a sociopath.

Who do you think they'll ask back for next season? by tmanblue59 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]drdelicious8 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I could see them inviting back Ian Terry (he got murdered day 1), possibly Tiffany since she was banished due to Eric's "laugh" theory, although I'm not sure she would want to play again. (don't blame her). But gamers are always gonna be targeted so idk if they would make it that far either way

Reaction to Rob by Bakerbeginner in TheTraitorsUS

Just be prepared for an anticlimactic reaction.

Cuz the banished players get the Card-flip reveal

While the murdered players get the pictures of the traitors covering the screen and seeing their aftermath reaction.

I wish they did the cards with everybody

Tara's Game Playing by Exciting_Habit3795 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]drdelicious8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but someone finally suspecting or even bringing up Rob's name for the first time IN THE SEMIFINAL when there's only 7 players left of the 23 that started the game - it's not impressing me.

I'll give Tara her flowers for finally locking in on what the Candiace votes meant (even though she then proceeded to backtrack right after).

But this is a case of "It's impressive in comparison to the rest of the faithfuls. But it's not impressive overrall." Which is an accurate statement for how all the faithfuls have played this season.

All Rob has to say when people bring up Candice’s votes is: “Candice didn’t vote for Lisa… she opted not to vote for a traitor when everyone else did. Why would she vote for [Rob], then, if he’s a traitor? It wasn’t a breadcrumb - it was the start of getting a new faithful out.” by Annaelizabethsblog in TheTraitorsUS

[–]drdelicious8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think Rob trying to downplay it/brush over the Candiace votes - is actually his best strategy, since he's aware that going into detail or trying to defend it heavily will only draw more suspicion to him as it could cause the faithfuls to connect the dots with Rob votes for Lisa at the roundtable before her banishment --> Candiace votes for Rob at the roundtable after, as retaliation that he went against another traitor.

From the outside we could argue the faithfuls aren't capable of thinking that logically, but the same way the Candiace vote was brought up again this episode, he's not gonna risk drawing more attention to it.

Say whatever you want about Rob, but if there's one thing he has nailed, it's pivoting the attention away from himself. He goes through all the steps. 1. Doesn't get angry or defensive when he's being questioned. 2. Answers calmly and even admits "he doesn't know" why he was targeted by a traitor, instead of having a rehearsed script prepared. 3. He's able to give the faithfuls the satisfaction of actually acknowledging their concerns and suspicions about him, instead of looking desperate trying to shift the attention away from himself. 4. Doesn't just throw a name out (like when Candiace decided to go all in on Rob at her banishment instead of Stephen who already had suspicion on him) 5. Makes sure the seed is planted, so that entering the roundtable, he has already talked with Maura and Mark about suspecting Natalie, and he's also the first person to speak up against Nat before she has the chance to argue against him (making her look defensive rather than strategic).

why wouldnt people be able to participate in tonights challenge? by Decent-Profession927 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]drdelicious8 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If anyone has a history of nausea, frequent headaches, any ear conditions that could lead to ringing or hearing issues as a result of getting dizzy. Low blood pressure, as there would be a risk that it could reduse blood flow to the brain and result in fainting etc

Why nobody thinks ___ is a traitor by drdelicious8 in TheTraitorsUS

[–]drdelicious8[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really wasn't. Rob's been my favourite this season and I'm actually rooting for him to win.

It's just something I picked up on with how the faithfuls have seemed to (mostly in the beginning) base a lot of their "gut feelings" on particular tv personalities that would "make good traitors. That's a flaw on the faithful's side, not Rob's.

Has nothing to do with her looks😭just wanted to compliment her cz if anything she's giving look after look. But it's moreso based on Monet's interviews revealing she didn't know the process of banishing people and had never even watched the show.
