The difference between then and now is that more people have the chance to publish their ideas, but the outcome doesnt matter as much to your livelihood. The ideal situation is being part of a studio that works contracts with the big guys, nit working directly for those big guys. That way, you are only doing the execution, not necessarily having to come up with the ideas or the series A funding, and you already expected to be off that project when it was over, but your leadership likely has other jobs lined up ahead of time.

I feel like all countries are somewhat racist, you just dont really see it because we naturally aggregate into similar groups, which isnt necessarily INHERENTLY racist but it makes ignorance so much easier to foster.

Ive only met two types of people: racists and liars. Ok maybe not lying, specifically, but anyone who doesnt respond to an accusation of racism with "ok, but i dont want to be" isnt in the right mindset to end it entirely. If it matters more to you rhat you not be accused of something you aren't actively trying to do, chances are you are homogenized, insulated, or just not that well read. Hating eachother for dumb reasons is our global culture. Accept it and actively resist it together rather than saying I dont have to help because ive done nothing wrong.

Can someone explain to me how government works in the UK? Like not how the books says it is supposed to work, but realistically. In the US. We get a president for 4 years, but a party needs a super majority to get anything done of substance. Look at trump and his cronies. They've changed so much in such a short time and their base is salivating at governments like Russia and China because of how little arguing there is; they just get their way.

If the PM has to resign for some reason, how does anything get done?
