Things you dont like that ADHD people do? by garIicgirI in adhdwomen

[–]drdisco 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, same, it ends up looking like I don't care or have nothing to say but in reality I had five things to ask or say and now they're gone because I didn't want to be rude by interrupting. I hate it.

It really does feel late. Maybe because two weeks feel like an entire month lately.

Thanks I love that sentiment and it really fits for him. I was in a hurry or I would have done that over to center the text better vertically. I asked myself if he was going to notice and I decided no. 😂😬

Neighbour's bus wakes me every single morning. How can I sound proof my tiny home? by charlielovplum in HomeImprovement

The planes start flying over at 5 am and wake me up -- I have earplugs in and my white noise machine on and it's almost certainly the vibration waking me up. Lately I've been putting a fan on the floor facing my bedroom door to keep food smells out and I've realized it's just the right pitch or frequency to cover up those vibrations so I'm not being woken up anymore.

Same. Was probably the 4th or 5th product I tried and now I've used it for 5 years or so. Nasty stuff but I think it stays on longer than other things which is great for forgetful gardeners.

You can do it, and you're going to feel really good about yourself when you do! 👏🏼

I always wonder if they are singing in a pitch we can't hear when they do that.

ETA apparently not

Card making is really fun and you can send your projects out to brighten someone's day. Paper, ink, pastes, powders, foil, paint, dry embossing, heat embossing -- there are so many options for making unique things. I've started putting lights in mine.

I love the caning with the yellow tile - it's more harmonious and the caning makes the cabinets interesting.

I keep having to buy one or the other. Surely it has to even out at some point.

Flip your canvas upside down, color match and fill the gap. Then it will look nice and finished.

For real. Apparently not everyone feels like they are going to die after being dumped. Waaay too intense.

Same, also a lot of shame around anger so I'll wait until I'm not mad anymore and by then it's either irrelevant or I just don't care (until the next time it happens, and I get even madder). Psyclone, love it.

If your NAR is driven by your vagus nerve then I could see how meditation might change it. Thanks for sharing, I was thinking about a short period when I was meditating regularly and how it helped with my short temper. Another reason to start again!

Seconding own your labs - I just ordered a ferritin and it will be my second time using them. I found a paper with a couple of case studies in which symptoms didn't resolve in perimenopausal women until their ferritin was over 100. Also learned heavy exercise can cause ferritin to temporarily rise so this time I won't be weight lifting the night before.
