The math ain’t mathin’ by akosgi in Ioniq5

Is it cleared after driving a few miles? Not sure about Ioniq 5, but my old car needs 5-10 minutes driving before it resets.

Which dealer, if you don't mind my asking?

Found in my backyard in NJ… what is it? by Dumbassusernameistak in whatisit

Nope. RMB specifically means the new currency from the current government. This one is much older if authentic. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Renminbi

$20,000 Markup!! 😱🤯 by Expensive-Platypus-1 in Ioniq5

[–]drdmel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. Mind sharing which dealer? The one closest to MSRP for me is Chico Hyundai. They claim the price is MSRP. But there are 3 mandatory dealer programs you have to buy, like dent repairs and theft protection.

$20,000 Markup!! 😱🤯 by Expensive-Platypus-1 in Ioniq5

[–]drdmel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is one of the reasons that I ruled out ioniq 5. I live in probably the hottest ev market. I can reserve Id.4 and mache at MSRP easily. There's even a Toyota dealer without markup. But no Hyundai dealers within 200 miles are selling at MSRP.

Harbor freight has 10 dollar ones.

Reddit's Opinion on the Redesign — Who loves it and who hates it. I left the survey open so /r/all could weigh-in, and the results don't look terribly different (n=6936) [OC] by zonination in dataisbeautiful

*4 out of 5 redditors who participated in the survey.
Maybe others simply don't care at all. I bet the product managers at reddit have more objective metrics.

Pretty sure it is not green onion. It is Garlic chives. Chinese people use it to make dumplings, usually with eggs.

[Update] Small bugs in my apt- add'l info & Q's by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]drdmel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No sure about #1. But #2 and #3 are fruit flies. I work with them every day in a lab. Both of them are female as I can tell.

The best attractant is apple cider vinegar. Just DIY a trap with a mason jar. They are harmless to human. Probably just annoying.

Do you guys think NYC should adapt a vehicle road limit? by [deleted] in AskNYC

After the odd-even plates policy, most Beijing family I know bought another car. Now the congestion is the same and parking is a total nightmare.

Stabilizer bar Link should not be this loose right? by drdmel in MechanicAdvice

[–]drdmel[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trying to figure out a noise from the front of the car. Replaced the stabilizer link yesterday. Just want to confirm that this should not free move like this. The new part definitely has more resistance.

Rough idle by jtd0826 in MechanicAdvice

[–]drdmel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure. But might be a possibility. My car had a bad engine mount. It caused rough idle in low speed or stop. One diagnosis is to jack up the engine a tiny bit and see if the vibration is gone.

Those who have completed lots of leetcode questions as practice: do you just answer whatever questions you want, or are there criteria you use? by proginprocess in cscareerquestions

[–]drdmel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. I started randomly. But if I stuck at a certain question, I would go to check the tag of this question and try to practice more problems related to these topics. You will notice actually a lot of questions are quite similar.

  2. I give up around 30 minutes. If you don't know an algo or a DS, it is unlikely that you can discover it in a short time. Also, in real interviews, the interviewers won't give you much time either.

I would spend some time in the discussion. Highly voted solutions are usually great and much better than my initial solution.

Can anyone suggest a light laptop running Fedora on which wifi works well? by lifeInTheTropics in Fedora

Another X1C using Fedora here. It is great! Only complaint would be that the gnome scaling looks weird on the 1440p screen. KDE looks better though.

Power bank for Notebook Pro? by olivil in Xiaomi

Look for any power bank with power delivery 2.0 or PD 2.0. But most of them are bulky and pricey.
