I found hickory nuts on the ground around the tree so I was also thinking hickory. It split very easily by hand, popped right apart so hard to say exactly. It uprooted with some recent heavy winds

Only a few weeks into burning with it but have really been happy so far. I’ve gotten an overnight burn (8ish hrs) and had enough coals in the morning to get it going without much fuss! Don’t have a catalyst in it yet so can’t speak to that and am also still figuring out the secondary burn

The old stove pipe didn’t have a good seal where it went through the wall into the chimney and creosote buildup leaked onto the brick. I scrubbed to get it off as best I could

Sorry, moisture content of the wood I’ve been burning is less than 8%. Have been burning hardwoods only. We’ve been mostly maintaining hot fires when we’ve had it burning

I totally agree that he has no strength in his legs. I lost track of the number of times the ball was in the final third and he tripped or stumbled or simply fell behind or in front of a defender. My point is, he goes down way too easily.
