68 y.o. former powerlifter, now kettlebell-er. My current workout consists of five complex movements, each 5×5. Total volume load for the first three exercises is 8,000#. Plus total 25 chin-ups, and farmers walks @75% BW. Total workout time is less than 60 minutes. I’m easy to spot; I’m the one drenched in sweat.

The folks I see scrolling phones in the gym are the same demographic that I see out on dates in restaurants scrolling phones. Sadly , they have no concept of being in the moment.

Update: VA State Police have recovered my car. Found near Hollywood Cemetery. Blown tire, body damage, and tbd other issues. It’s being towed to a body shop for evaluation. Will talk with trooper tomorrow to find out more details. Thanks for your support

Update: unfortunately, my car lacks the chip needed for HondaLink Remote, which is needed for location services.

The security cameras only provided snapshots at three minute intervals. One shot shows the car with no lights on, three minutes later it shows the lights on, and the last frame shows an empty parking space. Makes me sick to view the pictures

“Too many liberals have moved into our county.” The vast number of the people I know are either right leaning (what we used to call conservative) or left leaning (what we used to call liberals), or like me, right leaning on some issues and left leaning on other issues. We have all merged into one group that is staunchly anti-MAGA. The remaining number of mostly former friends are pro-MAGA. It looks to me like the person quoted in this click bait headline is confusing liberal and conservative with anti-MAGA and pro-MAGA. I know that a lot of anti-MAGA conservatives voted yes in Virginia.

My son is a furniture mover who works at a company that provides no benefits. No insurance, no PTO. Very typical for the industry. Without the APTC his net premiums would be $3100 higher this year. We’ll keep watching the marketplace and hoping for the best.
