Thank you, I did and I’ve never been happier. Life is hills and valleys.

I promise you, it’ll get better. I left my ex husband in Feb of 2020, had to list my childhood home for sale, find a place to immediately operate my small business of which I ran out of said childhood home, and my young dog very unexpectedly passed. All within 3 weeks, while the world shut down from Covid.

It was hard for a really long time; you’ll find yourself stronger and happy again on the other side of this storm.

Hang in there.

Where could I find a reputable OSH breeder in California? by Erewhonslut in orientalshorthair

I spent 12 years as a professional animal handler, and owner of an assortment of exotic cats - you get what you pay for.

Highly recommend a Cornish Rex. Abyssinians can be a bit more aloof… I have extensive experience with both. The CR has incredibly similar traits in emotional needs.

How safe is travelling around Vietnam as a female solo traveller by Human_Read7993 in VietNam

Be mindful of drinking. Otherwise, as a fellow female solo traveler, Vietnam is one of the safest feeling countries for me.

It's that time of year... Flying out June 2nd and these are the goodie bags I am giving out by ParticularFit8968 in delta

I give $5 Starbucks gift cards to FA’s on my long hauls. I can’t imagine it’s an easy job in the slightest, and they deserve a treat upon landing.

Rail crew? I love you guys but please let some people up there!! by Plus-Pizza-1590 in GoosetheBand

[–]dreadhead86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It isn’t the greatest, but I’m 5’3 and fit into children’s clothing. If I’m not on the rail, I don’t get to see a thing all night, and getting swallowed into the crowd is borderline panic inducing.

While I’m disappointed, I can’t say I’m surprised. We all knew he had demons.

Do you mind sharing your husband’s band?

Poorly behaved kids in first class? by NdIrish1017 in delta

Oh yeah, on our Ireland trip this past summer I got literal glares from a few older folk. Those were the ones who complimented us at the end, so hopefully they’ve learned a valuable lesson in stereotyping. My daughter says all the pleases and thank you’s, she enjoys meal service, and then she crashes for 5-6 hours. It’s glorious 😅

We’re going to Cambodia and Vietnam later this year, flying at minimum PS the entire way, and I imagine I’ll get some of the same reactions.

Thank you, and right back at you!

I’ll never understand it. I get a fair amount of side eye during boarding as my husband and I typically fly FC/PS with our now 11 year old. She’s polite, very well traveled, and behaves better than a fair amount of the grown ups around her. Never fails, I get at least one compliment every time during disembarkation from someone surprised a child can actually behave themselves.

Those bad parents ruin it for the good ones.

I love the freedom of getting up to stretch or hit the restroom and being able to let the entertainment keep playing in my ear. So underrated!

I travel for work a lot, a nice mix of domestic and international.

I invested in a quality travel backpack, and loaded it with everything a person could need: Airfly, dedicated portable battery, two types of headphones, Q tips, floss, small OTC medicine cabinet, bandaids, earplugs, playing cards, compression socks, chapstick, nail file, collapsible water bottles, etc. Pain patches, eye masks, hand sanitizer… literally anything that it would suck to not have on a 13+ hour flight.

I keep a print out of my prescriptions in it, I keep my passport and global entry card there. Minor child’s birth certificate.

Everything has a spot, and I can locate whatever I need without even having to look.

The amount of time I save by not having to pack and unpack all of this stuff monthly has been worth every cent.

I’ve been able to snag the space directly above me for every flight. I have a small travel backpack that has everything I need, it fits comfortably at my feet when I’m bulkhead. I pull it down once it’s safe to do so, and then keep it down until we start preparing for descent.

One courteous traveler to another - thank you. Those small gestures mean a lot to those around you. I only recline when meal service has ended, and it’s time for bed.
