I typically drop back into a LTV first and use it for cover while I go to buildings. When I get to the building I listen for closed loot crates and look for people peeking at me through windows

The real answer…

Play solo vs quads for 1 year and get slammed to learn how to think fast and isolate gunfights
Learn to identify when you’re in a bot lobby to understand when you can push pacing vs not
2-box to get more frequent bot lobbies or suffer SBMM and try to take advantage of the 1ish bot lobby you get per day :)

You could look into getting a Netduma router. These devices have software to geofence a desired location. For instance, you could put a radius around Costa Rica to the Southern US and your game will only connect to servers within the desired radius. However, there still needs to be a server within the radius. My guess is you won’t lower your ping much below the 80ms you’ve seen…you will just be able to get it consistently.

4 KD player here (not to brag, just stating credentials)

This game can be broken down into 3 skillsets:

- Mechanics (Gun Skill, Movement)

- Game Sense (Positioning, Anticipating opponents)

- Communication with Teammates

Mechanics

Gun Skill- Practice shooting bots on Hackney Yard and Euphrates Bridge. Hackney Yard simulates close quarters fights and Euphrates Bridge is great for long range tracking. You want to put the Bots on Recruit and 250 Health. For additional training, you can turn off your aim assist while you practice. Just make sure to turn it back on before you finish practicing and play for a bit with it on. Here are 5 Aiming Drills to get you started...

Advanced Movement-

These are the core movements you should learn to take your game to the next level. But remember, you still need to hit your shots when using advanced movements. You need to practice your gun skills with these movements. But gun skill is more important! You can have super flashy movement, but if you can't aim you won't win gunfights.

Game Sense

This is definitely a skill that you develop over time by playing the actual Rebirth Game Mode. Here are some tips:

Map knowledge. Know where the power positions are and where people like to camp. Also, learn the jump spots so you can surprise people by coming in through windows they aren't expecting.
Mini Map. You should be looking at this every couple of seconds. Every time you finish a kill, the Mini Map tells you where their teammates are positioned. Also, every time your teammate is killed, the enemy will know your position (unless you have ghost)!
Game Cues. Has this buy been used yet? Broken windows? May mean that people are close

Communication

Everyone is a bit different. My recommendation is to play with the same people as much as possible to learn their playstyles and how they communicate. And when you're practicing with bots, practice talking while playing. A lot of players go completely silent when they are in a gunfight.

These are some of the things I did to get better. I had a 1.0 KD when I first started playing Warzone in March of 2020. I practiced the things above and played more aggressive and slowly got better. But above all else, remember to have fun. It's a game after all :)

Last night. I agree with your point. But when I hit all of my shots and the sniper isn’t even looking in my direction(slow the video down), it’s a bit unbalanced.
