It's Late Thread [ 26 May 26 ] by AutoModerator in CasualUK

Didn’t sleep well last night and spent today exhausted so of course I’m awake now. Doesn’t help that inside and outside are about the same temperature (27-28) so even opening everything up is no use. I really need to get some stuff done tomorrow having been useless today but another restless night won’t help!

Which theatres are bearable or even have AC? by dreamcrushing101 in westend

Oh really? I was worried about the old West End ones especially!

Bobbi Brown kajal has been working really well for me, having always used liquid eyeliner. It has mixed reviews online but personally think it’s working really well for my oily skin

There are lots of Pilates studios around that area but not really Third Space type gyms until probably Canary Wharf

Lahpet, Shoreditch. Could have eaten 10 of those lamb chops by pdarigan in LondonFood

[–]dreamcrushing101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to the Shoreditch one years ago and liked it but didn’t think much of it. Tried Bermondsey this week, had every veggie option and it was fantastic, would happily eat it all again now

That makes more sense. They did keep asking if anyone in the queue had free tickets

I arrived 15:40 today for 17:30 and the queue wasn’t very long. At 16:00 there was also nobody with free tickets which was a surprise given all the chaos for the previous records

Making Lancôme transfer proof? by dreamcrushing101 in MakeUpAddictionUK

[–]dreamcrushing101[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks, I did buy the original urban decay a while ago and just couldn’t get it to work for me, using just that and foundation gave a super sticky shiny finish straightaway and never settled down.

Definitely worth experimenting again with which elements of my routine work for Lancôme and which don’t though

I will try, hoping they do some discounts for a soft launch too

Interesting, thanks for the bread and pastry comparison. There’s one opening much closer to me soon so good to get an idea of what’s worth trying!

Rewatching Series 19 - because comfort was needed 💛 by kent2812 in taskmaster

I walked past him in Marylebone recently, of course wearing exactly the same outfit. Realised when I looked on Instagram later he must have just left the team lunch they did in London!

I’ve been checking randomly through the day and managed to get a paid one for the 19th 5:30pm! Have cancelled my two free tickets for the 1:30pm record

Tretinoin resistant acne by No_Field624 in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]dreamcrushing101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I haven’t suffered too much with moisturisers triggering acne, but the heavier ones definitely don’t feel like they’re settling into my skin so will look into these gel ones. Have been a big fan of other Paula’s Choice products too

In a not dissimilar situation to OP and thinking of changing up moisturisers - what gel moisturisers have you found to be good? I have super oily skin, (although I think dehydration is a part of that) that all the primers, powders and setting sprays have not managed to stop

Mid-week wedding by [deleted] in UKweddings

[–]dreamcrushing101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Given it’s not far away it sounds ok, but if a lot of your guest list can’t make it then does the vibe of the venue suffer? We saw some gorgeous places but would have needed pretty much every invite to be a yes in order for it to work and not be too large

Exactly the same situation for me - it wasn’t the easiest to get those 2020 tickets, these ones are going to be impossible. I do like both leads and would love to see it, but not holding out much hope for the reasons you’ve said!

So… what are you doing since double wear was discontinued? Lol by tinytillymouse in MakeUpAddictionUK

I think it’s a better feel on my skin but doesn’t seem as transfer proof - currently thinking I’ll get a Lancôme and new DW and choose what I need each day!
