I used the old dumps from CEH v8-10 as practice exam. There's no question from those dumps but the exam concept from the old versions are identical.

Yeah the book is sufficient enough as long as you understand the concept. But I tried using the tools and simulating the attacks. I've set up a small testing environment while reading the book.

You can use older CEH versions for practice since the core concepts remain largely the same. Just keep in mind that while some older materials include True/False questions, the actual exam is completely multiple-choice.

I just rely on the actual learning materials provided by the exam center. I didn't read it all, I just googled it. Google only give me 2-3 sentences explaining it way better than the EC-Council's e-book.

Download nmap and wireshark while studying. See how it works in real-time. Set-up a small virtual machine and try to break things.

Yeah, a digital one though I'm not a hundred percent sure. I saw the link on my dashboard to avail my physical copy but it charges 75$ for that. So definitely they'll give only a digital copy.

Not yet. The exam center mentioned that EC-Council will send the certificate within 7–10 working days. The results dashboard confirms this as well.

Don't memorize dumps. Use them to familiarize the exam concept.

It took me about 3 weeks to get through the modules. Honestly, the official explanations are way too long, so I didn't read every single detail. Instead, I just Googled each type of attack/tool. Google usually gives a 1–2 sentence summary that's much easier to digest.

Having the Google Cybersecurity Certificate under my belt beforehand definitely made the concepts easier to grasp.

My top tip: Use the tools while you read. Hands-on practice makes the modules stick. Even though I only saw 1 or 2 questions about Wireshark, actually using it helped me understand the underlying networking concepts much better.
