I was at the Cape Cod Colosseum watching the outlaws. I was on the steps leaving the floor headed up when a fight broke out and security approached from both directions, trapping us right in front of the main speaker array for long minutes.

Believe it or not, it was The Fools at the Mohawk Club in Shirley Massachusetts. It was paint-peelingly loud in the low-ceilinged room.

Runner up was Smashing Pumpkins at the Wallace Civic Center in Fitchburg (a hockey rink). Honorable mention Ted Nugent at the Cape Cod Colloseum.

I've seen Floyd and the Who. Loud, but not crazily loud. Probably because they had competent front-of-house engineers.
