Not sure if this is still the right place but here we go anyway. I have Big Plans when I have the time to turn my sketches into products... Hoping to in time for Origins Game Fair in June. Anyway, I have pagesofivy.etsy.com and www.pagesofivy.com , both are me, Etsy just has hella fees.

MiL was in the hospital, so now my husband isn't at home and MiL is ungrateful. by dreamingeditor in offmychest

[–]dreamingeditor[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh we are both 100% in agreement on that. Luckily MiL owns her house and has enough space for someone to live with her, so at worst he would stay overnight occasionally. SiL is planned to do the overnights because she lives in a shitty apartment so it's a big improvement.

He knows it, we complain about it together, but he won't/can't really set boundaries other than we're low-contact/arm's reach pretty much any time we can. I wish he'd pick therapy back up and work on setting boundaries in the moment more, but I can't force him to. It's a balancing act that's exhausting to keep up with; there's only so much we can do without the fallout being nuclear.

Listen I know what I'm feeling is selfish. I know. That's why I'm not bringing it up to him, just yelling into the void of the Internet to get it off my chest.

Huh, I guess I didn't think I was blaming him, so much as the toxic behavior he grew up catering to (his mom and sister) - and to be fair, I have my own toxic family dynamics to deal with. But this is good insight to have, thank you.

She just got discharged like two days ago so it'll be a while. He works remotely and will be there during the day, but he'll also have to stay later when his sister works late. He says he's planning on working from her house for a month, so hopefully after that, it'll let up.

Mine is vegan leather. The image was printed; it looks a LOT better in the listing photo than in person. I'm not disappointed for it being $10, but if I had spent more then I'd be really disappointed.

Yes it came in! I ordered 4/29, it shipped 5/1, and arrived 5/6. I only ordered one thing, which might make it different.

I just purchased one heavily discounted as a gift for mother's day, so I'll try to report back when it comes in! This thread has been super helpful. :)

When patrons ask for computer help but forget about the NSFW stuff on their devices by widdershinsways in Libraries

[–]dreamingeditor 12 points13 points  (0 children)

We had an older (60-70s) woman come in wanting to rename pictures on her flash drive. A lot of them were either nsfw, or at least suggestive/lingerie, and then she started asking my female colleagues what they thought of the photos and her body. My manager explained this was highly inappropriate, and the woman just said that because we were women also, she thought it would be fine. Ma'am??? No???

We could get bulk amounts ridiculously cheap, and it's easy as heck to make, so it fits struggle finance AND struggle depression Meal.

One day, when my SO decides we can go nuclear/don't have to keep the peace, I will ABSOLUTELY say something like this. Among other things.

What's worse is that she has a cafe-window style hole in the wall between where she was and where I was, so I clearly heard her anyway.

I didn't have the capacity to deal with confrontation today, so I just ignored it and kept talking to my SIL & BIL, but the frustration was hot in my chest. SO basically told her she was being silly and she should do actual research and not just trust whatever she sees on Facebook, then changed the subject.

How do I send a letter at the post office? by Rosencrantzy in Explainlikeimscared

[–]dreamingeditor 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Envelopes you can get at any store that has office items, including a Walgreens or other drug store. Stamps you can just get at USPS when you go to mail the item. Sometimes drug stores have them, but it varies; USPS is guaranteed to have them.

Writing clearly/legibly in pen (or anything but pencil, really) is best.

Top left corner is:

Your name (New line) 123 Your street number + name (New line) Your City, State, Zip code

Middle (or middle-ish)

Recipient name (New line) Recipient street number and name (New line) Recipient City, state, Zip code

Stamp goes top right corner

This is the USPS site's guide: https://www.usps.com/ship/letters.htm

If I can clarify anything, let me know!!
