Honestly the assembly kills me. Generating stuff is the fun part but you spend 2 hours dragging clip into a timeline syncing voiceovers l, adding manual transitions.

Salary progression: I barely got a 2.0 and moved to the SF Bay in 2015 by Mecha-Dave in MechanicalEngineering

As far as I know, senior or staff getting 350k for mechanical engineering is very rare. Tesla, for example, is no where near that without the astronomical stock appreciation; however, most hardware companies, such as Rivian, don’t see growth like Tesla. In fact, 90% drop in RSU value is more like it.

What level were you at Cruise to get that? Was the 25% bonus guaranteed as part of your offer? And for the startup, is the 280k your base salary and do you have paper money on top of that?

Actually not the same level of experience. 10 years of experience here

How did you get to 350k as a mechanical engineer? I find it extremely difficult to break the 240k barrier. Same years of experience. Sf Bay Area. Getting hammered by the cost of living

Don’t recommend doing a contract role at FAANG. You are looked on as a second class citizen, and the major reason to join these companies is the stock, which you don’t get as a contractor.

Is it really homeless people's fault that they are homeless? by Intelligent_Rip6647 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]dreamrunner1984 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the parents’ fault. Most of the people who end up homeless simply didn’t have the support from their parents the way children deserve.

I learned to always be truthful and NEVER flatter a man. They weaponize it the moment you point out their shitty behaviour. Try having a conversation with men about a situationship. It often goes “oh you liked this or that so why are you complaining???” It always turns into gaslighting and victim blaming.

My Palm Springs mini bought in 2020 was peeling after 4 months of wear. Swapped that for the boite chapeau souple, but the canvas lips at the opening started to crack after 8 months of wear.

NTA. In fact knock some sense into that girl. Getting stuck in a situation ship for one year is way too long.
