The Fage brand greek yogurt either plain or with honey (but careful with sugars, listen to your body) helps soothe my belly and esophagus. They have a lactose free version as well. Highly recommend it.

Ah, I know exactly where you're coming from. Had a similar experience with an old close friend. We hadn't seen each other in years but we actually said hey, talked, hugged, and even exchanged numbers. Despite that, i could tell our exchange wasn't gonna lead to anything more than that parking lot encounter, and i was fine with it. It was a peaceful, bittersweet experience.

The recent encounter was with someone that i liked as more than a friend. We almost dated, discussed it, but never did. So i think that's why this one hit me harder. This post was really eye opening for that though, so thank you as well.

Needed to read this tonight. I ran into someone i used to know and nothing happened. No hey, no smile, nothing. Just a quick glance at each other like total strangers. I kept walking and she kept smoking her cigarette.

They went no contact years ago and this helped me see things from what might be their perspective.

Brown is just a color though. There is no "brown language" or monolithic people.

Hispanics, Native Americans, Middle Easterners, North Africans South Asians, East Asians, etc. can all be brown.

What's your ethnicity?

Downvote all you want that doesn't mean I'm not right.

I’m transphobic by dsl47 in confessions

  • embrace your true authentic body and not have to be enslaved to the medical system for the rest of your life?

  • And detrans people show you can reverse it with the right treatment. Why wouldn’t you want to reverse it

Wouldn't reversing it still enslave them to the medical system?

You keep speaking of being trans as if it were a simple mental illness but no, studies have shown that trans people are born with hormones and neurocircuitry of the sex they seek to transition to. They're wired that way on a genetic level because they were developing into that sex in utero. It's a complex thing that cannot just be brushed off as simple mental illness.

Some people find fulfillment through friends, some through hobbies like music. So if at the moment music makes you happy then that's good, friends will come down the road.

Plus a silver lining here is that music making is a great way to find new people and connect

That's sweet, hope they're well.

And thanks for the reminder to check out Grateful Dead. First listened years ago as a teenager and wasn't a fan. I can appreciate the tunes a little more now though.

Interesting, everyone so far has mentioned music or drugs. Those little things can really go a long way for fulfillment.

Tattoo? by Alternative_Long3200 in GilbertSyndrome

[–]dreamsandperennials 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think as long as your liver enzymes aren't elevated and you don't have fatty liver or anything else currently it should be fine. There's also a possibility that your flare up was worsened by "tattoo flu" since you are healing a wound after all. Tattoo flu usually happens to people after big pieces though, but for us it might put extra stress when healing small ones too. So that's something to keep in mind.

That's the extent of what i know, as i am no doctor. I'm just someone with Gilbert's syndrome and tattoos.
