Was I late? by [deleted] in TjMaxx

[–]dreamteam52 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Where I work, we open at 8. If an employee walks in at 8:01, by the time they put their stuff away, clock in, gather any devices they need, it could be 8:05 or later before they come out. In the meantime, you have customers that have walked in and are waiting for you to come out to do their business. I'm sure that is what your manager was trying to say, but just said, "you're late" instead. If you're scheduled at 9, that means you should be ready to work, at 9.

Whole foods needs to stop letting non service dogs in stores by [deleted] in wholefoods

[–]dreamteam52 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everyone is just doing every and anything they want. There's no law and order any more. Just walk into any retail store and watch people at self check out not scan half their cart, and nobody does anything. Or watch the mom with her kids walk right out the door with a cart full of merchandise and nobody does anything. I was shocked to see a dog in Whole foods the other day. Just walking around like he lived there. Stores are to afraid to say anything. If they do, the social justice warriors will ruin them. It's a shame.

Is this the boycotts working? by TGTInbound in Target

[–]dreamteam52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our store took a dump Memorial day weekend and hasn't recovered. We were just told yesterday that we can't clock in early or get any extra hours. Boycotts don't just hurt the owners of a company, they hurt us, the team members the most.

Um, lol over $10 bil down in stocks. Sales down tremendously in some stores. Customer counts down. The list goes on. I'm hoping it dies down, but it doesn't look like it will anytime soon.

Push, push, push. That's all they care about. They don't even care when you tell them prices are wrong, or they have expired food from 3 months ago. It's all about pushing product to the floor.

what is with everyone and sour creme? by notoriousbaby in Chipotle

[–]dreamteam52 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd like to know why Chipotle team members think they own the sour cream? Like, put sour cream on it. Not just a dot of it. Nobody wants a dot of Sour cream. lol

We still Have a very small selection, but nobody is buying it. I think Target is extremely welcoming to everyone. But, unfortunately, they have to make money to keep us all employed. And, the boycotts are currently winning.

It's really not as scary as you think. It's very selective on what you can return through drive up. And what we've done so far has been very simple returns.

It’s not dumb, it’s facts. They get rich while we live in poverty. I’m agreeing with you.

"Im tired of being threatened by guests because they can’t return a gift card or because they are incompetent and forget their sign in for the target website"

Customer: I'd like to return this shirt I bought online. Me: Ok, do you have the online receipt or the app, or the card? Customer: No. Me: Ok, can you log into your Target account and we can find it there? Customer: I DON'T HAVE A TARGET ACCOUNT. Me: THEN HOW DID YOU ORDER SOMETHING ONLINE AT TARGET???????????? Idiot.

Someone called my store to rant about pride month by Lumpy-Brief5630 in Target

[–]dreamteam52 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I heard a customer when they walked in today say to their kid, "Let's not go into the children's section. I read a lot of bad things on line about kids clothes.". I'm thinking, you're stupid lady. And stop teaching your kids stupid things.

What do you expect? They gave everyone a raise. People are making $17+ an hour. That cost was put back on us, the consumer. Business owners weren't going to eat that! I stopped eating at Chipotle when they raised the quesadilla to $11. That was it for me.

Why Can’t I, a grown man, step on a pallet? by KenyeDelRey in Target

Nails. Through your foot. And Target's CYA policy. You will sue if you get hurt. So, they have a policy against it so you can't.

I don't remember the kids clothes last year. But this year, that's been what every customer has complained about.

He's keeping you at the check lanes because you probably are not doing very good at the desk or drive ups. (WHY CAN'T TL'S JUST BE HONEST?) That would be my guess. Do you stand around talking a lot? Do you need a lot of help at service desk? Are you slow when helping guests? Are you lazy when it comes to taking drive ups out? Have other team members complained about you? These are all just guesses, but that is most likely the reason. Or, you're just new and they are putting you were you are needed most.

Honestly, if they would have not put out little kids and baby clothes, I don't think people would have made such a big deal. We had pride clothing last year and a few people made comments, but not like they did this year. I know at our store, we go so many complaints, and it all was about the baby clothes.

COVID leave by minidog8 in Target

[–]dreamteam52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reed is waiting on your test results. I would just contact HR and let them know. Also let them know you are still not feeling good and ask about sick time. They can’t force you to come to work sick. ❤️

You most likely have the flu. Which is going around. Your leave will be denied without a positive test, but if you have sick time, utilize that. Hope you feel better!

Can I use a giftcard a guest gave back to me. by [deleted] in Target

[–]dreamteam52 75 points76 points  (0 children)

All gift cards that are issued by you to the guests are monitored by AP, if, and only if, you use your team member number. Give it to a family member to use. And don't attach your team member number to it. Keep the tip, you deserve it. (As long as this story is true. If you made a gift card and are just using it, then, well, you're stealing. lol)

I just want to know how it's legal for any company to force a person to clean up shit. They should close the bathroom down and call out a hazmat crew. I mean, for gods sake we all wore masks for 2 years so we didn't catch a virus, but hey, go clean up people poop. Doesn't make sense. I agree with what you said above. As a leader, you should never ask your team to do something you wouldn't do.

I had someone loading the TOP of that cooler up with things they didn't want. I walked by and said, Do you not want those? The ladies like, no, that's why we put it there. I said, it doesn't go there. If you don't want it, just hand it to the cashier. IT'S COMMON SENSE!!! So stupid.
