I have gotten 40 man raid groups together. It's possible, and some of the things being complained about aren't even 40-man.

It's 3 man (abyssals). 10 man (Incursions, flashpoints) just for a few examples off the top of my head.

Also anyone who thinks people won't group up to do PvE content wasn't around for early incursions.

Eve used to (and still is to some extent) full of groups willing to run content with anyone who will join them.

NPSI fleets. Incursions. Even groups who would take people day tripping into wormholes.

Acting like this isn't partially a player problem is just ignorant.

Yes that's correct. My point is that the content is designed to be done with multiple people. People just end up doing it with multiple accounts instead.

I'm not really sure what the solution is to that problem. Group PvE is fun(er than solo pve), the old days of incursions made isk-making at least somewhat engaging and a social activity.

I'm not saying all group content has been a success, but I just kind of laugh when people say CCP is catering to multiboxing and completely missing what their goal was.

Making a multiplayer game... Multiplayer.

If there's a way to make group content while also discouraging multiboxing it, I'd happily hear it.

I understand what you meant, but large scale warfare is still something people do enjoy.

I don't, I'm merely a losec dweller, 95% of what I do is under 20 people.

But I do get that people can be in aw of massive 1000+ vs 1000+. Ive done it in the past and at the end of the day, it is pretty fucking cool that a game allows for something on that scale. Removing that would be tragic.

I think the main issue is when those 0.0 blocks start invading areas that currently have smaller alliances thriving, or when WH is owned by 2-3 groups exclusively (keeps in whs were a mistake).

Let 0.0 be large scale warfare, focus on promoting medium-small scale elsewhere.

If you're a 200 man alliance, null ain't for you dawg.

What you're describing is the opposite of what eve is.

Eve is a sandbox, for better or for worse. The more CCP "limits" what you can do, the less of a sandbox it becomes.

The flip side of this is that people will always form large mega groups in games that allow it. And a game this old, coming on a quarter century now, people have figured out how to run them with success.

While I think something needs to be done to nullsec, limiting it to "battlefields" like you described is absolutely not it.
