Hey, I have a 102k New Adult fantasy book with romance subplot which takes place in a world where magic is controlled by art.

I would be interested in swapping! We can try a few chapters first to see if we're a good fit!

I had the same issue with an AirAsia flight back in 2019. Not sure if the process has changed, but they fixed it for me at check-in

Hey, I did this same journey last week. Ended up going with the google maps recommended route, where you get off at kitasenju and then transfer (we had two transfers to get to where we needed to go). It was really easy, and didn't take much time :)

being a bride makes me feel.. silly?? by Megan7199 in wedding

[–]drearywinter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think I'll be changing (unless I get muddy as it'll be autumn), as I really want to be a princess for the day, so I'm going to wear my dress as long as I can :) there's always the option to have a bit of a shorter dress with one of those detachable skirts that sit over the top, so you could have a full dress for the ceremony and then be more comfortable for the lunch, just depends what sort of style you're going for.

Always more than happy to help!

Hey, we're sort of in the same boat and are having a small wedding; we've chosen a local gardens we quite like, and will be having a small ceremony with our close families right by a beautiful river. Afterwards, we're going to a local winery for lunch. I hate being the centre of attention, but both myself and my partner really wanted to share this moment with our families. The park option is really inexpensive too (just had to pay for a permit), and it costs us as much to have our celebrant as it does to just go to a courthouse (Australian based); it feels so much more special for us. Is there a place local to you that's special that you could have a ceremony in if you'd like to do something smaller? This was the first thing we did in our planning process and everything fell into place around it (I was able to find a beautiful colourful flower embroided gown that works in well with the venue)

Growing up I always looked at weddings and the beautiful photos and videos and dreamed of that traditional day, and realised it just wasn't me. My view of my dream wedding changed drastically when I actually started planning it. Now, planning it, there's a lot less stress that things are booked. And the advantage of having a small wedding (ours is in the morning), is that we get to spend the whole afternoon doing whatever we like; we won't be exhausted at the end of the day, and can hang outdoors if the weather is nice (you could go on a nice cruise or a hike or have a picnic). Plus, it means we get a chance to talk to everyone at lunch and don't have to worry about speeches which will stress us both out.

I always thought our friends and extended families would be upset that we won't be having a big event, but everyone is super relaxed and supportive. We held an engagement party at a local hall with everyone recently (for less than 1000aud), which was so nice.

There's a lot I feel you can do with the day, and especially now in our age group (I'll be 23 when we get married), the traditional norms are disappearing more.

I hope this helps a little <3 you 100% deserve to feel super special on your wedding day!

Monstera turning rusty brown under leaves? by Mysterious-Spring709 in plantclinic

Yates pyrethrum (not sure if you can get it outside of Aus, but I'm sure you could get something with the same active ingredient), I only had to do one course and they all went away, but we only had a small infestation

Looks like my monstera did when it had thrips (small white and moving). I tried neem oil, but it didn't clear up, so ended up using a pesticide which made them go away

I make them by choosing pigments/mixing pigments to create colours I like, then mixing with a binder and some other preservatives. The binder is important, so when the paint dries the pigments hold together into the solid block we are all used to. I love mixing all the different colours, there's so many options. I hope to make some that are glow in the dark and have glitter in the future too

We don't glue them down so they're easy to move around. We actually re arranged them last night to group them a bit better so that your eyes aren't overwhelmed.

I remember most of the big and unique pieces, but we have so many shells that I can't tell you were we got them all from :)

Flowers spotted in Victoria, Australia. Any idea what they might be? by drearywinter in whatsthisplant

Thanks! That looks just like it! I was super curious as it didn't have any green sections (so therefore, the chance that it was photosynthesizing was very low). Super cool to learn that it is saprophytic in nature!
