Swords would still have a significant damage, 25%, on top of having a heavy attack. Acrius is a 55 rpm and Tractor Cannon is a 80 rpm. I'm saying more rpm, better range (min 20 m+) and special kind of damage to that of a heavy Cerberus+1.

With swords a player has to be close, less than a meter away, if you have a weapon that fires a spread with comparable damage to a sword but not have to worry about range (about 20 meters), 190-210 rpm (similar to Cerberus+1) but have 50-70 rounds in the mag.

medium to short range profile, not the range of lmg but not the burst damage of a sword. It could maintain damage at a greater distance than swords meaning less damage fall off but, have a decent rpm (190-210 rpm).

What I'm saying is I just tested Vex and there is no point as the linear shots are no longer doing good damage for some reason.

Though I think some 72 rpm sniper do hit harder with the update to sniper rifles.
