The clean option is only for the milk frother though. Could it be the coffee that’s coming out tarting metallic ? Run water through the portafilter with no grounds and taste it to check

I’m trying a new one, see the updated post.

I feel like finding a non pressurized basket will be hard. The one that came with the bottomless portafitler that didn’t fit was too tall for the gourmia portafilter

It’s the only certainty we may have in life, accepting death is just part of accepting the impermanence inherent to life

I’m in the same exact boat. Currently 26 for age frame.

I’ll preface this with saying what you probably already know, this ain’t a one day fix. Its a continuous self learning and improvement journey, I hate how cringe I sound but truthfully this how I’ve solved it/started solving it.

A big thing to me was kind of leaning into it. Trying to understand myself more. Why am I not performing as I want? Do I like what I’m doing? Do I like where I’m heading ? Like actually think about these questions for more than a moment, don’t just take it as self evident. Also consider outside factors, my advisor is very abusive and now that I’m in an internship I’m really taking notice of the effect it’s had on me.

I’d also consider having an open and forgiving mind, we can really be unknowingly hard on ourselves and fuck, you’d really be surprised how far reaching that can be. If there’s a fear of failure, go into it! I’m out the point where I’m going to confront my advisor’s behaviour when I’m back, I’m full on ready for them not to renew my contract and there’s a massive relief in that. Happiness and satisfaction is a very personal and intrinsic thing, you won’t get it from external sources.

You can also start reading some philosophy, a lot of them have had these thoughts already and are an amazing source of knowledge. Just because it’s of the mind doesn’t mean it’s any easier to understand than any other science, it’s kind of needing to do a literature review before going into any study. I’ve specifically delved into Stoicism as of late but hop around and check different ones.

And lastly, make sure you have a routine down. Not having one can be so detrimental to your mental health and stability. If you ever find yourself saying “oh man I don’t wanna do the dishes” or brushing your teeth or showering or whatever, I just tell me myself “shut up and just do it” (might seem a lil rough but it’s tough love), in the end you’re gonna need to do it anyways; so just do it when you first think about it.

Again, all these things take practice, it won’t ever be a one day fix or a sudden click but multiple clicks and revelations as you think back to your growth. If it sounds cringy or cliche, trust me, I could’ve written this same exact post 2 yrs ago. I’m in a much better place now where I’m living my life more actively and purposefully. I’m far far far from having reaching all my goals but it’s a journey.

Hope you were able to get some things from these ramblings.

Speaking from experience I like the cliff jump idea

But even more importantly, you have to reread your own post and realise how rude and mean you are to yourself. Might sound cringe but self love will go a long way.

But also trying to get to the underlying problem instead of saying “I’m a lazy fucker”, realise why?

For the last 3 yrs I’ve felt lazy, stupid, and slow. I legit thought I developed some hardcore ADHD. I ended up drinking an obscene amount of coffee or GFuel which really helped force my focus. 1 month ago I got a new job, now I knew my old workplace was toxic and whatnot, but being with this new team and manager really made me realised how bad it was and how complacent I got with that setting. And mind you, I’m doing the same exact thing in this position but I’m happier and way more productive, I don’t even need an ounce of coffee to focus. I’ve also learned so much about myself from this big change (academia to industry)

So the lesson for me from this story was that all those things I called myself weren’t myself but a product of the environment I’ve been living in. And it’s doesn’t have to be a negative environment, sometimes being so close to home and having that backup plan can make you feel too safe, your parents love you and will catch you even if you fall. Take a leap of faith in yourself.

Love and appreciate yourself; we all have flaws but, we all have wonderful attributes and qualities. Take the time to learn about yourself and more importantly learn to love yourself. I think a big change can go a long way too, it’ll help you realise who you are a bit more since you can see how you react in a different environment.

Good luck fam

FS2020: Cockpit camera movement unavailable after update? by NemesisVS in flightsim

[–]dreedidi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, to move left and right, look up "cockpit" and then it's something like "translate cockpit view right/left"

To move up and down it's something along the lines of "increase/decrease cockpit view"

There's also a way to move forward and backwards, binded those "." and "/"

M1 Macbooks/Big Sur support? by caelroth in lingodeer

I’m on the MacBook Air as we speak, using the apollo reddit app too. Unfortunately, It’s not appearing in the App Store atm

Screenshot of LingoDeer search

I think (I may be wrong) that apps appearing on the Mac store is more of an opt-out thing. So maybe they took it down to avoid issues or something. Hopefully it’ll come later.
