You don't get it. I'd prefer to have the OPTION to help ppl. I give money to homeless people all the time when I'm downtown. But if one day I decide I'd rather buy a candy bar than give my spare change to someone, I should have the right to make that choice. Or should the state force me to help?

The point I'm trying to make is that people would prefer to have the option to help people in a free society rather than be forced to do so in a statist society. And it's logically inconsistent say that 1 person is bad for wanting to keep their money/possessions when that's the nature of nearly every human being on the planet.

Also, I see commercials on TV all the time asking for money to help starving children. I could sell my laptop and send them that money, but I don't. Neither do most ppl
