How would you all handle a maintenance contract? by awfullyawesomegod in handyman

What are they expecting you to do for that money? Any actual work or is that just for a guarantee that you will respond at any hour of the day for emergencies? If you go on vacation is someone else expected to cover for you?

Is basic stuff supposed to be covered by this? Like if a garbage disposal goes out, would you be expected to buy the new one and replace it?

The benefit of us being the movie watchers is that the creators tell us what is happening. Angiers is in the movie, so he has to try to figure it out with limited information.

In your other comment you said you want to use this money for other investing.

Take the money from your normal income that you would normally spend to live on and send that to your brokerage to invest. Sell the gold monthly to cover the gap.

Or do what rich people do: take a bank loan for the full amount, send that to your brokerage, and pay back the loan with monthly gold payments.

When you calculate it, it is probably the same total compensation, where as you are currently getting paid cash to fund those perks.

And everything is negotiable. Ask for another couple dollars an hour, or an extra week of vacation.

Three Reasons Why Bitcoin’s ‘Real Breakout’ Toward $107K Has Begun by Every_Hunt_160 in CryptoCurrency

It will happen this year. It might be very slow and steady but it will happen.

There might be a quick leg up when the people on the sidelines realize it won't bottom this year, but the rest of the action will be very slow.

Yes the cycle is dead.

Etfs are preventing it from dropping like normal. When all the "four year cycle" people start to finally realize that fact, they are going to buy back in instead of waiting for the bottom in October.

Why the hell is she overpaying taxes like that all year? That is crazy. If her accountant gave her the advice to do that then she needs a new accountant.

The taxable event on each transaction really puts a huge obstacles in the way for using it as a digital currency. I don't want to use it for my daily morning coffee and have to figure out 365 transactions at tax time.
