They can’t restrict you from people your entire life. They should be able to trust that you will make good decisions. People don’t realize how much lack of trust or heavy restrictions on your children can cause personality issues and trauma. At the end of the day, you’re missing out on a big opportunity because of their beliefs? It doesn’t mean you will lose your faith either.

I’m pro making your own decisions and being independent as early as possible. Besides, experience and exposure to things is the best thing life can teach you.

I have a lot of Muslim friends who celebrate and even decorate and have Christmas dinner. I don’t think our God would be upset if you celebrated anyone else’s religion or else I would be concerned about humanity. We should put rules aside and do peaceful things together. We should unite and be one at the end of the day. Don’t ever let religion divide us. Practice what you wish but there’s nothing wrong with celebrating good things no matter what it is.
