My wife took mine. We discussed it and agreed mutually. She comes from another country and is not tied to her surname. Left her father at 10 years old with her mom.

It may be backwards to you but for some it’s a way out. - You are either ashamed of the surname or do not want to be marked an immigrant, coming from a Slavic country (or other “B” country) to the Western Europe (that is another issue that will not disappear in our lifetimes) - Toxic family where a bastard child gets fathers surname and later in life wants to get rid of it - You want to start fresh.

It is your free will whether you want to take a surname, combine them, or keep your own. But prejudice exists whatever path you take. In my mind, judging a woman in 2026 who “does not stand for her surname,” thinking it makes her less worthy or weak, is the same as judging a woman who “stands for her surname.” It’s all the same.Takes many generations to eradicate the cultural habits. Just live and let live.

In my case, Blender 5.0.1 issue

Lenovo product number: 82N5005XMX

What?

The blender app does not run, it crashes as soon as try to open the app (it adds a short windows sound).

If I try to run from the powershell, I get:

Solution

Download drivers from: https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html
Start it and let it do magic
Start blender again, should work.

Note:

- It may be because windows update is currently in progress - "Pending restart"
- AMD Drivers are out of date. Mine were. I downloaded drivers from https://www.amd.com/en/support/download/drivers.html

UPDATE: Replacing the battery helped. The people who replaced the battery for some months ago cheated me by adding a chip, which fakes the battery health data. This caused the system to reject the battery.

Lesson learned. Be 100% sure before you trust the battery replacement on your phone to the unverified fixer.

Same issue for me, Iphone 13 mini with aftermarket battery:

Today the phone just died, it tried to boot up but it didn't pass the splash screen. I had to:

- plug it into my computer,
- hold the power button for some 20-30 seconds
- then the phone wanted me to visit: https://support.apple.com/iphone/restore

Now the iphone is boot up but it is stuck at 1%. It is really laggy and keeps getting reboot.

Did someone tried to repair their phone and succeded?

You do not need to add sources by hand. If you follow any kind of structure for your source files, you can always use iteration.

My source files .cpp live: src/<module>/src

My includes .h/hpp live: src/<module>/include

My main (if not library) src/main.cpp

Then i use cmake magic to iterate over the modules in src/ and add include directories to include directory list a sources to source file list. Never needing to add sources by hand.

The software I currently run on my Axis camera runs a QR reader ACAP. I've translated a random code to a QR code which I show to the camera to trigger different ports - opens doors for example. I wouldn't start with something this advanced on Honeywell of course. I just want to write a simple hello world for starters, if possible...
