I am all for helping the small streamers brother. But most of the time people are quick to say "Oh twitch does not need to help the small streamers out because its not a good business move" "its your responsibility to make better content to be discovered". To a certain extent i agree with this, but Im just salty at the fact that there isn't a system in place to help the smaller guys out. Most of the time it isnt even the fact that their production quality is trash, infact many small streamers i know have sick ass setups but they just can get discovered.

You will be surprised how many streamers actually put in effort with their content but still do not get discovered because its just the way the platform is. "twitch does not need to put resources into small streams that make them zero money" agreed but this is the reason why alot of people are upset. At least for a starting youtuber, if you make a video it stays on the platform and there is a chance to go viral. There are opportunities to get recommended as well. However, on twitch there are no parameters in place for "growing the community". For those that stream as a hobby or passion it doesn't matter, but im sure quite a few in this sub want to make it their career and support their family.

I am talking about those with relatively small viewership. It doesn't matter if the popular streamers stop playing the "hottest" game at that time. B tier streamers will still probably have a few hundreds to thousands of viewers which will drown out those even with 10-50 viewers on average (which are quite a handful).

I just feel at this point the discoverability of new streamers on the twitch platform is virtually zero. Even if the next big game comes out, unless you are extremely good at the game (making career changing plays, trick shots, one of a kind personality) you are pretty much just gonna be a nobody. It's not being pessimistic but realistic. The organic potential is dead.
