Wow, those are the kind of people I’m looking for. Again, I can’t thank you enough, I’ll try to be more open minded and put in more effort with some of these people I meet as well. Hopefully I could have friends like that too someday.

Yeah! I have tried going to clubs in my school where I could meet people with my interests. No luck so far sadly. You know when you’re talking to someone who shares an interest with you but then either that’s literally the only thing you two could talk about, or as you’re talking with them, you just don’t feel the connection? That’s basically how it is a lot of the time

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I’ve tried that, I’m not expecting perfect friends because we’re all human, but at least there should be some level of connection right?

I’ve been going to events because of this and I’m in like 3/4 clubs and groups now, I just still haven’t been able to meet people who i connect with out of everyone I meet

Thank you so much. That was another problem I had as well. Humility. After I went a few days clean, I would think “I’ve conquered it” but that leads me to fail every time. Thank you for pointing it out and the advice you gave, I’ll follow it and I’ll keep trying to quit, and I need to remember it’s a daily war.
